Hi there! I'm aware that some of the mods have become obsolete and newer versions are available, however I've also heard of people having to use the old mods to get some older maps to work, hence I'd rather keep the old mods in the requirements list as it's easier to find the newest mods than to try and find an older version from the time when the map was created. Also, keeping up to all the mods and updating all items on the workshop accordingly would take a surprising amount of ongoing effort.

I'm certainly planning to continue making maps in CS2, but of course I'll have to see how much time I have to dedicate to map making once CS2 releases. I am certainly looking forward to making maps on CS2 though! Glad to hear you like my work :) Thanks for commenting!

Hello,i think this amazing map will be more perfect after upgrading(some mods may be obsolete),looking forward to your reply!! And i love your maps so much, will you get involved in CS2 workshop?
IhmeHihhuli ™  [author] 2 Jan, 2023 @ 8:05am
The retaining walls pack should definitely not be a cause for the map not loading, unless they consume the very last bits of the system's RAM, which could cause the map not to load. The retaining walls are relatively small details and the map will look fine even without them, so if you're having trouble with the asset, you could always run the map without them :) I hope you've found a solution already though!
lmolloy310 27 Dec, 2022 @ 4:20pm
Sorry, I mean the retaining walls pack
lmolloy310 27 Dec, 2022 @ 4:16pm
Even with loading screen mod, this map will not load. I think it is the fence pack because every time I subscribe to it, it does not show up.

If you find out the culprit(s) for the issues, please let me know. Always curious to learn, and also it's a valuable asset to have here in the comments in case someone else is having a similar issue. Also interested to hear if you're experiencing the same issue with the MT version of the map. On top of all that, issues aside - happy to hear you like the map! :hardhat:

Some peculiar issues indeed. You mentioned that you're not using any mods that affects the category of issues we have here, but I'm still curious to check, have you checked that you're not using any possibly outdated mods, such as the anarchy mods that I think were updated this fall? For example, Network Anarchy, replacing Road Anarchy and a number of other mods.

Regarding the outside connections complaints, completely no idea what could cause them (or what exactly the complaint is?).
The water pump complaint is likely to have something to do with the pre-placed water pump (or sewage dump, rather). The pump is located in the bottom right hand corner, if you look at the overview which can be found at the end of the screenshot reel.
gamophyte 19 Dec, 2022 @ 1:58pm
Oh but otherwise this is one of the best, pretty, and easy to start with flat areas. Feels like a real place!
gamophyte 19 Dec, 2022 @ 1:58pm
I'm getting some odd issues with this map. I don't have any mod that affects these category of issues, so it may be just all the updates since release.

First there is weird nodes, some are butchered and I had to use node controller to "T" them nice and straight, as well as use Network Multitool to delete bad nodes (you can see they ground clip).

I am now getting complaints about outside connections and some distant northern water pump is causing land flooding.

I have used this map before without the complaints, just node issue. Since then I got Mass Transit as well, so going to restart my map (having not done much) with that version instead to see if it helps (https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2670174756) .

That's a good suggestion, I'll see if I find time to create a dependencies collection! To be fair though, you can subscribe to the highway set via the highway collection (click on any of the highway pieces, from there you can find the collection), after which there are not too many items to subscribe to. Regardless, thanks for the suggestion. Glad to hear you like the map!
Richmond 20 Sep, 2022 @ 4:54am
i think if there's a collection,would be better
great map,i love it!

Canadian Moose 16 Apr, 2022 @ 6:50pm
just coming by to say this is an absolutely incredible map. I know there's no references to the province of Québec as inspiration for this map but damn you absolutely nailed it! Feels just like a place you would see along the St. Lawrence river!
IhmeHihhuli ™  [author] 22 Feb, 2022 @ 12:09am
Hi! Glad to hear you're enjoying the map!

There is a rail connection, the closest one is I think 1 or 2 tiles north from the starting square. The railway crosses the river roughly at the middle of the map. I hope you find it haha :lunar2019grinningpig:
Patch 21 Feb, 2022 @ 9:26pm
Hey this map has been an amazing play so far, however I just got to 12k and I can't find any rail connections, am I just blind or are there none?
IhmeHihhuli ™  [author] 6 Feb, 2022 @ 11:02am
Thanks! I'll go ahead and switch the requirement to the Tree Anarchy mod straight away as it's been proven over time that it does work without issues despite the map being originally built and tested on the outdated mod :)
legalHomeInvasion 6 Feb, 2022 @ 9:03am
Great map layout! Since the unlimited tree is deprecated, it would be nice to have some updates on the required mods (the new tree anarchy) :D
IhmeHihhuli ™  [author] 2 Feb, 2022 @ 5:13am
Glad to hear you found the cause! Always a pleasure to help :)
DreadPirateRobbo 2 Feb, 2022 @ 4:31am
Seems road anarchy was the ticket. I had installed but hadn't enabled it. Thanks!
IhmeHihhuli ™  [author] 31 Jan, 2022 @ 2:29pm
You should be able to reconnect the highway without having to hassle around with any workarounds.

I suspect the reason why you're not able to just plain reconnect the highway is to do with your anarchy settings, as the highways are so close to each other that without road anarchy the collision will prevent you from actually laying down the road. Here's the mod used for road anarchy: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1844440354

Now I don't know how new exactly you're to the game so the aforementioned solution might seem like a dumb thing to suggest if you've got the mods in order already :lunar2019grinningpig:

Another possible cause is that the highway is partially out of the buildable area (purchased tiles). I suppose this is unlikely as I think you wouldn't be able to demolish the said piece of highway in this case either.

I hope this helps. In any case, don't hesitate to comment again if you feel like it! I'm here to help when needed :)
DreadPirateRobbo 31 Jan, 2022 @ 11:24am
Struggling a little bit with my newness to the game. Really like the look of the map and started with it.... all good. Grew a bit, bulldozed a section of the included parallel highway *4L Concrete - Barrier" and cannot figure how to reconnect it - even back in the original straight path. I'm not sure if I need a parallel road tool or what to do there.
IhmeHihhuli ™  [author] 27 Jan, 2022 @ 1:14am
Always happy to help! Thank you for your input, I really do value people coming back to provide information about their troubleshooting progress and possible solutions. Sorry to hear you couldn't get the Tree Anarchy mod working, as it definitely should work with that mod too without any issues. If the issue does not occur on any other maps, then it seems rather peculiar indeed. Hopefully you've found a satisfactory set of mods to work around not being able to use the Tree Anarchy mod, if you cannot get it to work.
CrankyKong 26 Jan, 2022 @ 2:47pm
It seems that tree anarchy itself is the issue for me. I've tried every combination of settings within the mod, and it always fails to load the trees on the map. As soon as I turn it off, trees load properly. I haven't found that issue on any other workshop maps strangely. I appreciate the help and no need to spend any more time trying to help me figure this out. I'm sure it's something weird on my end.
CrankyKong 26 Jan, 2022 @ 2:22pm
@IhmeHihhuli thank you for the quick response and thank you for the effort you continue to put into the great maps. I loaded the map with just the required mods, and all the trees are present. I'm going to try to identify which mod interaction is causing the issues specifically, so you have an answer for the next person.
IhmeHihhuli ™  [author] 26 Jan, 2022 @ 12:13am
@JohnFromOz, Really glad that you like the map! It always brings me great joy to hear that people appreciate my work and notice even the small nuances on the maps I've created :) It makes publishing my work feel all the more rewarding. Thank you! :steamhappy:
IhmeHihhuli ™  [author] 26 Jan, 2022 @ 12:06am
@NannerCat, First question I'd ask is whether or not other maps load fine with the same selection of active mods? There's been a couple people with the exact same issue before, and I think the cause of the issue was always an incompatibility of mods. In other words, the cause of the issue is generally a mod that is not compatible with the Tree Anarchy mod.

Here's the list of incompatible mods with the Tree Anarchy mod (taken from the mod's page):

Unlimited Trees and Unlimited Trees: Revisited
Tree Snapping
Lock Forestry
Prop Painter - Use my Prop Anarchy or Prop Painter: Revisited instead
Prop Switcher - Use BOB instead
Tree LOD Fix
Random Tree Rotation & Tree Movement Control & Random Tree Rotation for Natural Disaster
Plant Scaling - Similar functionality is already built-in to this mod.

I hope this helps. In any case, please don't hesitate to comment again if needed :) I'll try my best to help you out!
JohnFromOz 25 Jan, 2022 @ 11:47pm
Hey man, just want to say a huge thanks for this map; it is simply brilliant! I have all DLCs installed including Airports and updated to the latest patch (as at January 25, 2022) and your map loaded flawlessly. I used your 1-click subscription option, also totally seamless. The intersections are smooth as silk, and the connections are perfect for a mid-sized build. I'm coming back into the game after an absence of a couple of years and this is *exactly* the map I wanted, to start designing and building again. You, sir, are a LEGEND!
CrankyKong 25 Jan, 2022 @ 6:07pm
On both the original version and the mass transit version, none of the trees load. I have all the dependencies except unlimited trees: revisited. I'm using tree anarchy instead with the allowed trees cranked to max. Any ideas on what might be causing the issue?
Snooza 17 Jan, 2022 @ 1:19pm
That’s awesome!
I’m waiting for the airport DLC to release before actually making one for my city in this map. Still good to know! 👍
IhmeHihhuli ™  [author] 17 Jan, 2022 @ 1:12pm
Yeah the airplane paths are just short strips at the edges of the map :lunar2019grinningpig: If a plane path would happen to be too close to an airport, the airplanes "disengage" from the airplane path at the point where it will have the shortest distance to the airport, which could be directly above the airport, which in turn would result in the plane going in spirals to lose its altitude, which would obviously look unnatural. The reason I draw such short connections for the planes is that it allows for the planes to approach the placed airports from further away, which in turn means the route it takes should look more natural.

Oh, and thanks for the compliment! Glad to hear you like it :)
Snooza 17 Jan, 2022 @ 8:56am
oh wait nevermind i'm just blind. Sorry
Great map though!
Snooza 17 Jan, 2022 @ 8:55am
There doesn't seem to be any visual airplane-paths in this map. (To me atleast)
Will planes still spawn in when an airport is placed?

Thanks to everyone for your kind words! It's always such a pleasure to hear people enjoy and appreciate my work! Have fun building your cities! :steamhappy:

thankyou for making the vanilla roads version! looks amazing:steamthumbsup:
reddfox 7 Dec, 2021 @ 10:37am
This is by far my favorite map to build on yet for my realistic PNW city. Would LOVE a version of this with some taller terrain off to one side of the map (i like having dams and places to hike in my cities), but really this is just perfection. Thanks for providing such great work!

Hi!
For those who may ask, this map has been reviewed by BonbonB here :

hareton86 29 Nov, 2021 @ 7:58pm
thank you for the map. somehow the maps looks a little bit like Sydney. Gonna spend some time to play with the map. Good work!
azz0lt 29 Nov, 2021 @ 8:49am
Great idea (had thought the same and will give it a go but similarly afflicted by too little time). CSL devours time!!
IhmeHihhuli ™  [author] 29 Nov, 2021 @ 8:43am
@azz0lt,

Glad to hear you like it! I'll upload the vanilla road version soon but further than that I unfortunately don't have the interest / time to upload a third version of the same map. You could always load up the map in the editor yourself too and skim down on the trees (if that's what you need to do to make it a lower spec version) and trim down the map in any way you like!
IhmeHihhuli ™  [author] 29 Nov, 2021 @ 8:36am
@sgall23241,

BonBonB is such a great channel to get feedback from, honest, fair and useful. Heck, even the terrain mod he gave a heads up on was a new thing to me which will definitely prove itself invaluably useful. Regarding the trademark, looks like I'll have to set up a PayPal to start collecting royalties for the use of my name HAHA :steamhappy: Thanks for the comment, really glad to be part of this community :)
azz0lt 29 Nov, 2021 @ 8:34am
Very attractive and realistic map (just seen on What Map too). Really like the realistic almost fractal like coastline and how water transitions to land with lots of variation. I'm hoping for a lower spec version as my pc just a bit too old to do it justice :)
sgall23241 29 Nov, 2021 @ 5:42am
Bon Bon B got his hands on this map, and gave it pretty good ratings. Great work! One question: Since you've trademarked your name, does that mean I have to pay you a fee every time I use it? :steamhappy: ;)
IhmeHihhuli ™  [author] 29 Nov, 2021 @ 4:55am
Thanks for the compliments! Glad to hear you've enjoyed my work before too :steamhappy: The point you make is valid and understandable.

In terms of RAM usage however, if you're using the loading screen mod the roads use up hardly any more RAM than say the bridge assets do, as the loading screen mod allows for texture sharing and thus only a single road asset's worth of RAM needs to be allocated for the whole set of roads. If system storage is an issue, that's a completely valid point too though :) Just a heads up if you didn't already know this. None of this matters however, as I'll push out the vanilla road version soon! Cheers :)
Clunk 29 Nov, 2021 @ 2:06am
Waiting for the vanilla version. Looks really nice but I ain't downloading that lot. Must be around half a gigabyte's worth of stuff there. I just realised you're the person who made Boulder Cove. Boulder Cove is excellent, although needed a few tweaks at the map's edge. As it happens I'm about done for the 2nd time using your BC map and enjoyed both times very much, so very much looking forward to trying the vanilla Teal River. You do great work, but not all all of us have cutting edge machines.
IhmeHihhuli ™  [author] 29 Nov, 2021 @ 12:11am
I'm here to help :steamhappy: The error (null reference error) you're getting essentially means there's a missing asset or a mod. It's usually a missing asset (instead of a mod), which could be totally unrelated to the requirements on this map as well. For example, you might have a building asset active which requires a certain bush or fence asset which is missing. Often this error can be ignored if everything seems to work as inteded, as a missing asset should not break the game itself.

If you want to troubleshoot this error and find out the root cause, here's a good thread with useful information: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/app/255710/discussions/0/333657334439220550/
The simplest way to find what asset is missing would be to use the Loading Screen Mod with reports enabled and check the reports to see what is missing. I hope this helps! :)
Reluctant Addict 28 Nov, 2021 @ 10:16pm
Im needing some help with this. I subscribed along with all the associated dependency assets but when I try to load the map I get an error message: "Object reference not set to an instance of an object. [System: Nul ReferenceException].

Im guessing this has something to do with the configuration of my laptop rather thean the map itself but Id truly appreciate if someone could explain in plain English:
1) what this means; and
2) what I can do to fix the problem.

Id be forever grateful as the map sounds awesome and Im very keen to play on it.
