No, sorry, its a Rusted Warfare limitation. You can only trade with allies set before the game starts.

That's what the problem was with the land traders then, as I was playing this map, https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2340131716&searchtext=earth . I was in South America and my friend was in Alaska and the Panama Canal was blocking the way.

Also, traders only travel on their own to the closest ally market. You normally cant train traders until an ally market or docks are present.

In general they do, i would just avoid maps with only islands. The ai have trouble using transport ships.

Here is little more detailed change note: Most units are now a little slower. Added roads to the Bronze age. Roads speeds up units. Worked a lot on reducing the amount of ini files the mod uses (Not quite visible in-game). Fixed an ai issue where they would spam houses. Fixed mineral color so it no longer blends in on the white background. Added a new Faction, the Shang of the far east they are a defense focused faction that can also field massive armies of conscripts.

Version 1.0.2 fixes some long standing bugs like farm auto replant not working and lions being unable to attack some units. It also re-balance some basic units that were too strong.

At the moment, they are only in sandbox mode because they don't have a concrete use. I plan perhaps to add them later as an alternate way of winning a game. By building a wonder of the ancient world. That way of winning could be deactivated in lobby by disabling nukes.
