does this override the sandbox setting exp multiplier for all skills or is the multiplier applied on top of the sandbox setting multiplier?
CrazeFury69 19 Nov, 2024 @ 9:49pm
Options dont even function properly. set it to 1000 for each and every single action i do i get xp. do not use this mod unless you want your strength and fitness maxed out by 2 months. so immersion breaking
Zenith 22 May, 2024 @ 7:41pm
This needs to be defined in sandbox settings instead of personal game options. Any player can just set their multiplier to the highest value and max out in minutes. Really easy to cheat.

Could anyone confirm whether this mod still works? :)
Would be a blessing to implement this in our run
Unamelable 13 Nov, 2023 @ 10:49am
I guess for fitness you should SPRINT not run. Its left alt key

Is this incompatible with certain mods i.e. Evolving Traits Mod?

Cheers
TechPower$ 16 Jan, 2023 @ 7:57am
is it compatible with latest version?

Strength XP seems to work. But Fitness is stuck. Like, won't raise. At all. Dunno what's causing this, though. Maybe a mod conflict? Can't read the logs though.

Wrench In The Plan 10 Jan, 2022 @ 8:54pm
I've got it installed on my current save and I don't seem to have any problems.
Ulas 10 Jan, 2022 @ 6:51pm
Hey is this mod compatible with the latest update? (41.61)

how can i set the multipliers for multiplayer servers? i believe mod options are only for client side and not for servers
Klingenmeister 9 Jan, 2022 @ 2:56am
How does this work with multiplayer? (since modoptions still doesnt have a config for server admins and is currently not up to date and prone to bugs)
Stellar Harbour 9 Jan, 2022 @ 12:01am
Check ExtraSauce QoL mod, he added possibility to only admins change settings

Thank you, I will continue to conspire, mayhaps I will try myself as well. However I am also unfamiliar with LUA
ConquerorKoala  [author] 2 Jan, 2022 @ 2:03pm
@nigel Hello, I read your comments and unfortunately have to deliver some bad news about my skills in mod making: I am not very good. I do not believe/(know how) how to enforce a total skill multiplier, I.E. 2x..5x..10x.. etc for all skills. This is because the way I had actually made my XP multipliers works completely unique to each sort of XP that each mod is tailored towards. Some of these XP systems would be challenging for me to cleanly do this, and I am not sure I myself with my limited lua skills can manage. I will look into it a bit; however, I would not hold too high a hope, sorry!
nigel 1 Jan, 2022 @ 5:42pm
Ideally the minimum and maximum modifiers and the minimum and maximum level amounts are configurable. That way I can have mine set to 100x XP modifier at <= 5 total skill levels. and 1x XP modifier at >= 100 total skill levels. The configurations would be: XP modifier Min, XP modifier Max, Skill levels Min, Skill levels Max. CLAMP Min (bool) CLAMP Max (bool). Which would change the >= 100 to > 100 for example and the xp gain will keep gradually changing past the configured level.

How does that sound? It would be really cool if at the start the character can learn everything faster, but once the character has learned lots of skills, they become slower at learning everything. This would allow players to make spec builds which would be especially fun in multiplayer games. Thank you for your attention :)

Could you make a mod where the player has a XP gain modifier based on the total amount of skill levels earned. for ex: a character with total 5 skill levels (between all skills), the character will gain XP at 10x rate. However when the character has total 30 skill levels (between all skills) the xp rate is 3x. And at 100 it drops down to 0.5.

Would this be hard to make? Could you please make it :)

@Sego I have not been able to access my computer for a while, so I am unsure as to whether it works in multiplayer. I suggest just giving it a try and checking it out. As for the first question, whether it is the same as that other mod, it is only similar . The difference is that the mentioned mod will multiply the xp you get from the vanilla RNG system by flat multiplication, whereas my mod adds an entirely new system that is not reliant on RNG to get the xp. So they are similar, but different on a technical level; however, feel free to use whichever one works best for you, have fun!
Stellar Harbour 1 Jan, 2022 @ 2:38am
And how this works with servers? Only admin can set it? Or any player can mess with XP?
Hand Stroker's Ejacula 30 Dec, 2021 @ 9:20pm
@tomek.tomasiuk
I like that idea, but I think just like IRL, going overboard shouldn't reward you with more. So as a balance:

If it's moderate: 2 XP
If it's High, but not for longer than 1 hour: 4XP
Excessive: 1XP
Exhausted: 0XP

If you're hitting levels of exhaustion, you're no longer providing your body with proper fitness, you're pushing it instead.
Tom TK 4 Dec, 2021 @ 7:27am
I have simple idea for passive fitness XP.
Every 10 minutes game checks characters current exertion level.

If its moderate he gets 1XP
If it's high - 2 XP
Excessive - 3 XP
Exhausted - 4 XP.

This way you can improve fitness like IRL - by doing anything that require fitness.
And numbers like above wouldn't make it OP.
You can get much more XP per day by doing few series of squats.

I'm not sure what I want to set the rates of experience to at the moment. Can anyone weigh in and tell me what they prefer to set things to?

Insert Thanos quote about "Finally, I have them all" here instead of any commentary possbile.
ConquerorKoala  [author] 28 Nov, 2021 @ 2:09pm
@ScareCrow, what BreakUrSelf said is correct. You need another mod, which is made by another creator, which is called 'Mod Options (Build 41)'. This mod is actually linked on this page, on the right side of the screen you see 'REQUIRED ITEMS' with Mod Options on there, you can click it to be taken to their page.
BreakUrSelf 28 Nov, 2021 @ 12:22pm
Hey. You need a mod that enables other mods to make changes. It's called Mod Options (Build 41). It's listed under requirementson this page > REQUIRED ITEMS
This item requires all of the following other items
PhreshBoyLlama 28 Nov, 2021 @ 12:17pm
Hey, I had gotten all of the mods (The XP modpack), but when I try to enable them, it says I need "modoptions". Is there an other modpack I need to download before I am able to use this? I'm new to modding so I don't know if this is a no brainer, sorry if this is wasting your time....
Atelier 26 Nov, 2021 @ 6:52pm
standardize my life, please
BreakUrSelf 26 Nov, 2021 @ 4:00am
Thanks! Cause I thought you have set the options yourself to balance it, I see now, I'll adjust them a bit. Hope it doesn't break anything mid game. Cheers!
ConquerorKoala  [author] 26 Nov, 2021 @ 3:27am
@BreakUrSelf I believe the 'default' settings they start with are all on the first selectable option, which has nothing with me balancing them. They probably need to be set to the user's preference, but on the options themselves I think I labeled which were the vanilla rates.

short answer: defaults are not the balanced ones.

Also, the vanilla XP gains are still there, so all your changes are stacked on top of the vanilla rates. Although, the vanilla rates are so horrible that you may not even notice. I had to leave the vanilla rates in there to avoid potential mod conflicts with anyone that uses/overwrites the xpUpdates.lua file. Take care!
BreakUrSelf 26 Nov, 2021 @ 1:10am
The standard/normal settings your mods come with when you install them are good to go? (They just "fix things) Those settings won't make your character OP too fast, if I understand correctly, right? But I can always tweak stuff I want during mid game? Thanks a lot again
BreakUrSelf 26 Nov, 2021 @ 12:59am
Awesome man!
