the "black hole" cells are the cells that have viruses. I need to put that into the help menu sometime.

The predator I know I do need to put something like that into the game in the future but making it as a new predator and keeping the old one.

thanks for the comment

i like this, but what i would like is
a. the black hole cells to be spawnable, and killable too
b. higher ai for the preditor, singling out different colors and shapes

try some sort of cell food like a cell that eats a certan type of cell to survive and enemy cells like one that will kill anything even more of that kind that can evovle even slower or faster than your plus a evolve menu that can help get certan body shapes.

There is currently a limit to cells alive which is 500 at the moment but I want the player/user to be able to manipulate that.

The idea of killing the cells you don't want is good, I think I'll make it so that they need to be healthy so people can't just kill all the infected cells that would make them useless.

Maybe in the future I will add cells that multiply on the their own over time without needing gender.

Thanks for the comment.

Nice idea. But clumsy. There was very little control over the evolution of the cells beyond choosing which male and female pair would be the first to multiply. Also as the cells added up, I started to lag at the 400 cell point (including a few dozen blocks).

Allow the player to destroy undesired cells with the a mouse click would solve both issues I have.

Also from a science point of view I don't like that a "male" cell needs to find a "female" cell to reproduce nor that the gene pairs are X and Y.

You have the basics done (directed evolution) but I'd be interested in where you can take it.
