i wanted to make a patch for the tame beasties mod to allow these things to be tamed and at 1st it worked perfectly but after i sent my new pet off screen somewhere it switched back to kill everything mode and started picking fights with town guards

a queen? what about the brain bug?
and hang on do eggs hatch now? last time i played this game they didnt

@Sicarii65: Very much a WIP feature, I only made them playable as a sort of bonus, this was always about putting aliens on the map, rather than playing as them :)

i dont undrstand how to even utilize the queen, are there eggs you can make? i havent figured it out yet

@mopsisgone it's chaos lol. with both mods the regular arachnids and the arachnids from the lite mod are fighting each other. i am the leader of one swarm and the other queens are against me so i have caused a civil war and it's dead bugs everywhere

when i play as the bug master the arachnids still hate me ;-; but i have both mods installed so idk if that's the reason

@NickSheperd: The original arachnid mod was a commission for a single bug, this work was a commission for snerfed bugz and queens, there is no reason you can't install both :) x

@angrytrex i really like the way you think.

Is the original arachnid mod going to receive the same updates, such as the queen and such? I play Genesis so the cities much better defended and there's a lot more big faction patrols, But the idea of a bug menace threatening the world made me want to start a run where my squad is on a quest to kill the Queen. Would love for the world to still be in danger but have a goal to work towards.

My my experience fighting these things in the original mod with all manner of weapons, the two things that make them dangerous is:

1) They seem to attack through block, or are not blockable. Most of my people with 80+ defense were getting hit regularly.

2) They have this unique ability shared with skin spiders that lets them evade crossbow bolts with a pretty high %

anyway, if I activate both mods do i get twice as many of these to hunt?

Did you love the Arachnidz mod but thought it was juuuust a little bit too intense? Did you find they were so very hungry they were wiping whole cities off the map?
