It might not show up if you haven’t flirted with Dane up to that point. Forgive me, it’s been a long time since I wrote that dialog.

Thanks for the response! Hmm, for some reason I never got that dialog when fighting the witch in Mistwell, unless there is more than one and I’m just missing them? (it was in the room that looks like a lab with a bed with the switch to open the gate)

Thank you, projectedeny. I'm glad you're enjoying it. If you want to truly complete Dane's storyline, the only way to do so is to fall in love with him and have him love you as well. Basically, you have to complete his romance for the story of Heartwood to conclude. If you told the witch's echo in Mistwell that you love Dane, you should be able to progress the story. If not, then the cycle cannot end.

Loving this mod. I have a question for those who completed this mod, because I’m stuck. I have gotten to Mistwell and went to the basement floor to defeat the witch specter. What else am I supposed to do here? I went back to the woods and fought the Witch multiple times, but the dialog doesn’t change. . Thanks!

It should be fixed now, in this mod and where the scepter can show up as a reward in Jade Helix.

The Golden Scepter with one gem and the fully restored version sell for the same amount.

Aw man, I wanted to see how it played out. I'm guessing it's possible to lock yourself out of that. Thanks anyway man, love the mod.

The way I wrote the story for this mod, the only way to really reach the end is to fall in love with Dane, and get him to return your feelings . If that doesn’t fit with your character or goals, don’t worry. You’ll miss a little unique loot, but not much. And this loot can actually be randomly earned in Jade Helix: Dispel Triggers .

Hey! I'm really enjoyin' this mod in particular, but I've hit a wall of sorts. I can't seem to reach a resolution of any kind; I've found Mistwell and I'm sure it's got something to do with Dane, but no matter how much I chat him up, it's seemingly going nowhere.

Eventually, yes! Complete the quest and you can.

Hey Prominence! I'm curious if the romance can also be recruited as a companion?

I'm glad you're enjoying it, Burden of Brine! I do like the idea of expanded weapons, but I prefer to avoid mod dependencies in my creations. At least for the moment.

If you like the saplings, there should be quite a few available in my Wild Magic mod. Heartwood doesn't make as much use of the random item lists as Mummy Dust, but I can see about bumping up sapling chances in a future update.

I appreciate the feedback!

I've gone through three out of four paths so far, and so far its been quite the good experience.
Though I find the purely supportive mobs somewhat tedious to have to deal with, but as part of the overall package they serve their purpose well.

One thing though that I'd enjoy, if it is not too much to ask for, would be to make the random 'sapling' spawns a smidge more frequent. Being able to grow trees wherever I want would be pleasant for decorative purposes, but I find them to be extremely rare in the game.

And while I haven't experimented overly much with the Heartwood material and crafting yet, would there perhaps be any future plans for a mod patching Heartwood to be used with the blueprints from More Integrated Weapons mod?

Either way, thanks for the nice stroll through the woods, with some witch hunting on the side as a bonus! :dragonfire:

A variety of interesting new enemies with challenging and engaging encounters, excellently crafted maps and repeatability coupled with valuable rewards. Well-made, slick 'official DLC' quality -- another must-have for anyone out to enjoy adventuring in Horizon's Gate.
