The mod is good

There seems to be an issue when I go to disassemble the missiles. They won't go into the assemble at all

@PallyDanaRama I agree, I don't know how feasible it would be either but that's what would make me want to use this mod. I love shields, but even if I wasn't using them I'd want slightly more tactical options than just "if explosion hits a block the block gets deleted". Being able to use the blast radius as a sort of "nuclear flak" for instance, where being more maneuverable is still beneficial for minimizing damage taken, but you're still more or less guaranteed to take some of it with every near miss.
PallyDanaRama 4 Mar @ 5:37pm
What I'd like to see (If it's at all possible) is a gradient where everything within ~10 meters of the center is erased, but you see less and less damage as it radiates, until the edges of the explosion just scratch and dent armor but don't outright destroy anything. Even better if high-hp blocks could reduce the incoming damage to blocks behind them, but I know I'm asking too much now. Is any of that possible?
PallyDanaRama 4 Mar @ 5:37pm
Would it be possible to make this compatible with other shield mods like Deflector Shields? I noticed it works with defense shields, but I don't use that because I don't want all the extra stuff that comes with weaponcore. I really love the compounding effect, and consider it almost mandatory, but the resulting explosion seems to completely bypass any shields in my game and just erase anything in the area.

Speaking of erasing, is there a way to reduce the amount of damage it does? I see that you can reduce or increase the volume of the explosion, but can't see anything for the damage values.

Could you please fix the SFX? I'm only hearing them on my left ear (headset), it's supposed to hurt both my ears. Thanks

Weapon Core pls
WinterBloodBunny 23 Dec, 2024 @ 12:03pm
WeaponCore compatibility would be awesome.

@a_person i have the same problem
☭ god of weird ☭ 19 Sep, 2024 @ 4:44am
Only sometimes apparently.
☭ god of weird ☭ 19 Sep, 2024 @ 4:42am
The small grid bombs don't seem to explode nucleary, just a small radius immediately around the block
GodShake 3 Sep, 2024 @ 6:30am
is possible to set a damage for the explosion? for example, if i want to use it against a huge ship, i dont want it to despawn it, just make a big hole, how i do that?
Lord 18 30 Aug, 2024 @ 8:03pm
I am experiencing a permanent bug that doesn't show the visual of the explosion. It just shows a bright light when the detonation occurs, even with me only loading the base mod and not editing the damage/explosion radius. Is anyone else experiencing this?
a_person 4 Aug, 2024 @ 6:30pm
I've been experiencing a bug that causes the third person camera to not show anything other then the skybox after messing around with nukes and it requires me to reload the world to fix. I think it may be caused by this mod, bigger explosions or kinetic devastation as it has not happened to me in worlds without those mods.
Echthros  [author] 17 Jul, 2024 @ 4:01pm
@Kitsunekaze There is a config value in the BiggerExplosions Config.xml that limits the voxel destruction radius to 300m for performance reasons. You can increase this value if you want.

@Kristos9027 There is a config value in the BiggerExplosions Config.xml to modify the explosion volume.
meloeh 15 Jul, 2024 @ 7:14am
welp its realism nukes are that load form the super sonic shock wave after det
Kras 14 Jul, 2024 @ 8:55am
why does it have to be so loud? it might have damaged my headphones, they started crackling after I was nearly deafened by the explosion.
Kitsunekaze 9 Jun, 2024 @ 1:27pm
Doesnt seem to compound correctly? placed 15 Thermonuclear warheads in my base and tried:
1. arming them all, starting countdown on them all (same time)
2. arming them all, starting countdown on one, letting it blow the others up
Either way, the crater is 300m wide (as if one exploded)

dont know if its me doing something wrong, or the "Bigger Explosions" mod not working properly
a_person 29 May, 2024 @ 10:06pm
The signals update makes audio from explosions play only in my left ear (It also affects shell travel sound).
GreyOstrich 24 May, 2024 @ 11:26am
lil question, always when any nuke detonates it just shows black boxes as textures while when my friends use it i dont see that, i tried using different texture qualities in the settings and i tried to play with use the bigger explosions mod and nuclear weapons but it just keeps showing some black textures instead of an explosion. it only does that in the beginning eventually it changes back to the explosion textures but at that point almost the whole show is over
Dr. Glitchgo 12 May, 2024 @ 12:13pm
Can you please fix the audio? It only plays audio in the left ear, regardless of where I look/stand.
Tyo Atrosa 28 Mar, 2024 @ 4:50pm
placing a nuclear missile launcher (SG) requires WC to be in unsupported mode, which supposedly makes things not work properly? is there a way for it to work without breaking WC? or does Unsupported Mode not actually break everything like the warning says it does?
lord.riker 19 Mar, 2024 @ 12:21am
Thank you. I don't know why I didn't think of checking there.
Echthros  [author] 18 Mar, 2024 @ 2:16pm
There is an <ExplosionShieldDamageMultiplier> modifier in the BiggerExplosions Config.xml if you want to adjust the damage to shields.
lord.riker 18 Mar, 2024 @ 1:34pm
It works well with weaponcore, however for some reason it does weirdly low damage to defense shields.
Tyo Atrosa 11 Mar, 2024 @ 4:38pm
would it be possible to make a Weaponcore-compatible version of this?
Apollo Norm 3 Mar, 2024 @ 7:27pm
my left ear really loves this mod as the detonation souds are never heard in my right headphone cup
Echthros  [author] 21 Feb, 2024 @ 5:04pm
This is the intended use.
Rubus 21 Feb, 2024 @ 4:23pm
I lost count but i did bore a hole clean -ish though titan.
Danny 20 Feb, 2024 @ 2:36pm
@Thundercraft
I think it should. I have been using this mod with weaponcore before and never had a problem with it.
Thundercraft 20 Feb, 2024 @ 1:31am
I don't suppose this would work well with WeaponCore?
Rubus 19 Feb, 2024 @ 9:24pm
It would take approximately 63 thermonuclear bombs to bore a hole clean through titan

For some reason, I only get the explosion sound in one ear.

i dont care it makes me def i want it
VOID 6 Dec, 2023 @ 9:16am
I've been toying with the nukes recently, and found an interesting behaviour. This was playing in single player creative, with default settings.

I placed a regular nuke on the ground, as close as possible to the safe zone shield of a Trade Outpost, started the countdown and flew away.

The nuke failed to detonate, so I flew back and decided to remove it, and upon clicking to remove, it blew up.

The entire outpost was vaporized... But the safe zone shield bubble remained.

Not sure if it is a bug or a feature. XD
VOID 6 Dec, 2023 @ 9:11am
@lord.riker FYI, the link to the Defensive Shields mod you have on your 18 Nov message is flagged as malicious by Steam. You might want to look into that.
lord.riker 18 Nov, 2023 @ 10:38pm
It also seems like when using this alongside Grid Integrity https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1693064111 damage caused by warheads of any kind don't register as lost integrity, but I'm assuming it's because of how you've revamped explosions and there probably isn't much that can be done about that. I'm just bringing it up so it's known.
lord.riker 18 Nov, 2023 @ 9:42pm
@Echthros Sorry, I wasn't very clear. I'm talking about nuclear warheads that detonate while inside the shield, not outside. In the below example I was onboard a ship and built a thermonuclear warhead inside of it (but not directly attached to it) and it still did very little damage. If the explosion originates from inside of the shield I would imagine the shield shouldn't protect it from it.
Echthros  [author] 18 Nov, 2023 @ 8:32pm
@ᛞᚨᛖᛈᛚᚦᚷᛋᛠᛟ Submitted an attempted fix. Let me know if you see the issue again.

@lord.riker The warheads are not supposed to damage a grid at all if it has a shield up that is stronger than the explosion. They will damage the shield if they impact it and will damage the grid like normal if the explosion is strong enough to break the shield. If it's not knocking the shield down but still is causing some damage to the grid anyways, that is definitely a bug.
lord.riker 17 Nov, 2023 @ 10:01pm
There's a weird interaction between this and Defensive Shields (https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1365616918) . It's nothing gamebreaking, but when you detonate a nuclear warhead (or thermonuclear) inside a ship that has its shields up they only do the damage of a regular warhead while keeping the bigger looking explosion. I was expecting to blow this ship to smithereens but instead I just made the cargo room a little bigger.
Lt.Fenix 12 Nov, 2023 @ 1:32pm
I think the newest patch may have turned the explosion sound effects into static for me.
ZEALOT 7 Nov, 2023 @ 4:26pm
i detonated a thermonuclear warhead while sitting in a ship and ceased to exist entirely not even backspace would save me might be a bug
hawley.kevin 28 Oct, 2023 @ 5:23pm
my PC is on FIRE xD o and half the earth on space engineers
joe lasagna 2 Oct, 2023 @ 4:49pm
Might just be me but whenever it detonates it causes a deafening static noise for about 30 seconds on detonation
QualityPen 13 Sep, 2023 @ 11:10pm
Could you please make a version of the rocket launcher (or maybe artillery cannon) which fires nukes which have a high knockback but do no damage? It would be super cool to be able to build an Orion pulse fission drive.
L0AR 3 Sep, 2023 @ 5:10pm
Yeah the config XML files
Frubar 31 Aug, 2023 @ 11:17am
Thx, im gonna fix it
Echthros  [author] 28 Aug, 2023 @ 12:51pm
@Frubar Are you in space? The explosion sound doesn't travel in space (beyond the range of the explosion) unless you change the <ExplosionSoundLimitedInSpace> value in the "Bigger Explosions" XML settings to false.
