I've found that while playing Shuckle, it's horizontal air movement will sometimes just hit 0. Any idea what causes this?

The optimal vertical recovery is to fspecial into a wall > uspecial > wall jump > double jump > air dodge up > uspecial. They have poor vertical recovery by design.
