Don't waste your time with this, it's unsolvable. Not only because it's not logical and WAY too much going on simultaneously, there was one bug that prevented us from finishing (toy chest in Red could not be opened). 2 hours down the drain, thanks for nothing!
k8sparrot 21 Apr, 2023 @ 6:05pm
Man that was hard but enjoyable! I also couldn't find the last 3 digit code, had to find it in the comments. There was no mirror to shine the light on either. Great map though!
IndyLohan 1 Apr, 2023 @ 10:19pm
how is the 3 digit code solved at the end of red. This is bugging me. I Solved everything but this.
nope 28 Aug, 2022 @ 12:30pm
had the same problem with box in red 7. we guessed the code should be above the window, but the wooden tiles were empty and we solved everything... also too much going on, but the first one was great and we really enjoyed it :)
TdIbT 7 Aug, 2022 @ 9:54pm
As found by Guffen123 the code is 313

Exactly same issue than the comment below
Very frustrating

So we solved every puzzle except the box lock in Red 7. The one that supposedly the code for is in Blue 4. But I don't see any code in Blue 4. But your guide just says it should be in there and also doesn't even say what the code is.
tikastick 2 Apr, 2022 @ 11:48pm
This map is so stupid, too many things going on and its honestly just a guess for life, partner and i couldnt be bothered finishing it because it bored us and we were over it tbh.
Saya 28 Mar, 2022 @ 4:25am
Despite all the bugs and items disappearing, I enjoyed the first map. This, however, is a piece of sh*t.
Alleenaz 22 Feb, 2022 @ 4:17pm
Room is alright, though some of the puzzles need adjusting The puzzle with the poker chips needs to have at least one more row filled out for it to be a pattern that is recognizable and or a hint put in the other room to help solve it. Same with the plants beneath chest a hint needs to be added to one side of the room.
Fluffatron_UK | TTV 4 Feb, 2022 @ 2:01pm
You can't establish a pattern from two data points. Trying to extrapolate from two data points is impossible. It is a guess. If you want us to notice patterns you need AT LEAST 3. I did not finish this room because it was too frustrating, not because it is too hard but because it is honestly just not done good enough.
Junihae 26 Jan, 2022 @ 10:21pm
Definitely a big challenge, but it was hard to distinguish important interactables from junk and some really important objects were difficult to spot. The poker puzzle was near impossible to figure out without the guide. Glad that this map is challenging, but improvements to object clarity and hint direction would make it less torturous.

When is part 3 coming? :)
llaurien 21 Jan, 2022 @ 9:40pm
This would be a good escape room if the patterns were established better. A lot of the puzzles are running on an assumption that we will know to finish a "pattern" when said pattern only has one example. Dominoes, color blocks, etc.
Jussy 12 Jan, 2022 @ 12:35am
Whats the Blue 1 color puzzle combination (the color mixing puzzle? Cannot figure it out, please help
W is for Wisp 8 Jan, 2022 @ 9:59am
The plant shelf puzzle is poorly designed imo. Unless we missed a hint, there's nothing to point that we should interact with those plants in the first place
Mittea 8 Jan, 2022 @ 12:32am
How do you solve the letter blocks?
RockHardRyan 27 Dec, 2021 @ 5:32am
this map is garbage, super buggy chess pieces fell through the floor. absolutely random puzzles with no real solution without using guide. 2 hours of my life wasted for a broken map.
jak 26 Dec, 2021 @ 11:27pm
awesome map, we could not figure out the position of the chess board / statue placement. used the guide to open the exit doors to get around it, would be cool to have that one shown what it was
Jo 24 Dec, 2021 @ 12:35am
This one was definitely harder than the first part, which is not a bad thing, but there is a lot of confusion regarding directions to take and link between puzzles and their solutions especially as you progress further and further.

We had a feeling of "less polished" on this one.

Please keep doing some more though :) And thanks !
Doy 17 Dec, 2021 @ 10:42pm
Overall a very solid puzzle. Perhaps the next one we can get a better sense of direction. My partner and I often found ourselves not knowing which puzzle to solve so we wasted a lot of time trying to solve a puzzle that was at the time, impossible. Besides that we had lot's of fun, thank you for your hard work :) Can't wait for the next.
Victor 12 Dec, 2021 @ 3:40am
Really liked it! Hard but worth the effort!
The Mighty Gerbil [toj.cc] 10 Dec, 2021 @ 11:36pm
Tried it with 4 people 2 on each side. There were some technical glitches where some things only displayed to one player on each side and some considerable lag. The actual puzzles were good though. Maybe make the next one a bit shorter to prevent lag and shorten play time.

thanks a lot for the nice words, keeps me motivated to make more maps in the future :)
Glad you and your friend had fun!
Crazed38 8 Dec, 2021 @ 9:46pm
Super fun map, my favourite yet. Definitely set aside a good chunk of time, as it can take a bit to work out some puzzles.
Worth the time and effort, always satisfying when you work out those difficult ones. Also great effort making up the guide for both maps too.
Great map!
Mörre 8 Dec, 2021 @ 4:52am
Had a blast solving this one hard but well worth the effort
94% 7 Dec, 2021 @ 4:24pm
the keys are buging through the floor. don't want to restart
Grrr  [author] 5 Dec, 2021 @ 12:41pm
@Woco tyvm, I fixed that :)
Woco 5 Dec, 2021 @ 12:19pm
Found a bug:
We broke the map by placing one plant below the blue box on the display shelf and picking it back up, removing the plant destroys the slot zone, making it so that we couldn't finish the map
Exe 5 Dec, 2021 @ 9:23am
Ah, that makes sense, thank you for the response.
Keep up the great ideas and creations, we're eager to see more from this series!
Grrr  [author] 5 Dec, 2021 @ 8:24am
@Exenoxx thanks for the extensive feedback! I did expect some struggles which is why i did end up making a guide.

- I think you are talking about the colour puzzle in red1? where you have to make the colours work with the blocks you have. since you need yellow + blue to make green it only leaves red ones, hence making purple and orange. The values next to those blocks are only there to make the puzzle in Blue1 possible to solve.

- Poker Chips Red5: i can see how it can be hard to solve, I wanted to try how it goes with giving the amount of slots you have to fill as a hint. I only asked 2 people, that managed to solve it but I will consider solving another line of the puzzle!

- Red Exit door: there is no order to doing the crystal balls and it should have worked the way you did it :/

If I can think about some things I will try adding more hints. I got quite overwhelmed with the map size and keeping track myself at some point..
Thanks for playing both the maps :)

Interesting sequel :steamthis:

I never comment on ES maps, but since the original Shared Effort is mine and my friends favourite map so far, I want to share some thoughts. In short, we felt this map was extremely difficult even with hints, but still fun nonetheless.

Posted on Imgur since Steam comments have a character cap:

@Eboboy thanks for the feedback. I thought using a black background might be a good way to indicate its a hint for the black room :) ill see if i can find a way to make them bit more obvious
Pan Akota 4 Dec, 2021 @ 4:09pm
Quite good map, but some puzzles are not so obvious even with the hints. btw, 'hidden hits' are quite hard to notice due to it's black background.
Pain 4 Dec, 2021 @ 3:32pm
Absolute stunning map! Nice Puzzles, begging for more!
Grrr  [author] 3 Dec, 2021 @ 3:46pm
@746589 thanks for the feedback! yea writing the guide took quite the toll one me, ill fix that :D
about the glitching i dont think i can do much, there is obstacles everywhere but the lag will make it possible to glitch through regardless.. thanks for playing! :)
746589 3 Dec, 2021 @ 2:47pm
This room was awesome! Loved the first one and this one is brilliant. Great puzzles, thank you for making these.

We were stuck on the dominos and ended up just guessing the last two, however;
Looking at the walkthrough it mentions to follow the pattern 1. Black - 2 | empty, 2. White - 3 | 4 -- but in the room it is actually 1. Black - 2 | empty, 2. White - 3 | 2

Random bug:
Sometimes during the room stutter, Blue Player accidentally glitched through walls into Red Player's room and couldn't glitch back through.
Grrr  [author] 3 Dec, 2021 @ 6:35am
@man_angry Im silly for not thinking about this. I added a button that activates when you get access to both pressure plates. If you only saw yet, you could go further. I will add a guide when im done with it, as most people will probably get stuck at some point
man_angry 3 Dec, 2021 @ 4:32am
i got part way through but to progress further i think i had to stand on a yellow mat and do something on the other side while the mat was being stood on. that didnt work with only one player
Grrr  [author] 3 Dec, 2021 @ 3:07am
@mang_angry thanks for pointing that out, it should work now
man_angry 2 Dec, 2021 @ 11:47pm
im trying to play it singleplayer but i cant interact with the red swap buttons, ive tried restarting the map but i just cant press them, it doesnt even give me the prompt.
