Sure, no mountains, but plenty of hills and harbor locations. I forget if it was Hudson or Verrazano who said it, but the sea life was so plentiful around Long Island when they arrived they could throw a net anywhere around L.I. and when they hauled it in it would be full of turtles and all different types of fish.

Lots of marshes too. I would grant you that choke points would be few and far between.
