The loadouts to start with are now pre-selected from the vanilla garderobe. Some vehicles are added to the spawners. Possible hideouts for missions are still totally random but pre-calculated so the tasks are created pretty fast. Traffic is dense, the cars fast and the sun is shining😄
Note the options of para jump via flag pole, unlocked loadable weapons in jets and helicopters, and option to repair and tune any ground vehicle. And read the instruction on the map if you are puzzled about the tasks. Flag states that a task is done and next one is available.

MERCS December 2023

I updated MERCS Vanilla with some features that I have added to liberations earlier. These rely to the assets of the vanilla game:
-heat signatures in all vehicles
-balanced weapons in enemy helis and jets
-Wasps, enemy helicopters with some challenge
-Hounds, random enemy ground vehicles
-Arrows, enemy jets with unexpectable combat patterns

Server is now rotating MERCS on Altis, Stratis, Livonia, Malden and Tanoa maps. The missions are persistent, so they do not start from beginning when you rejoin server. You continue from the mission status made before and proceed to the next map after 3 task are finished.

@Zothen Thanks for telling. Do you mind downloading the latest version from discord: https://discord.com/invite/5DEHbnj The mission objects should be ok then. Constant vehicle tuning is intentional. The ’scalar’ message is a bug. There’s also the modpack with a few mods used in the dedi server.

Broken, unplayable.
"find white box,load into vehicle, bring to base". No option to load a box. No explanation.
"Tune vehicle"-actiona always available anywhere.
Strange hint popups ("Scalar").

Quick, simple and easy random mission generator. Good balance. Plenty of enemies kill on the objectives, challenging, but not so many that it becomes impossible. That's an important balance point. Fun for solo or a group of friends that want to jump right into a mission and start bashing things with a minimum of prep. The vehicle upgrade script also provided a fun option for tear-assing around the countryside, looking for trouble. Fun.

Good mix of play styles achievable here. Lots of different scripts on offer, plenty of fun to have with just modding the vehicles and ragging it around the place, note of caution the enemy can be anywhere.
If playing in single player there is a nice respawn feature where you will randomly spawn within 100-200m from where you die, this does also apply when in multiplayer as well so could be used to cheat a little, if all your other squad mates are down without having to restart from a main base again.
Good implementation of an undercover mode to assist with sneaking into the objectives, and the ability to load items to vehicles which is baked into the mission file rather than relying on a mod to support.
In short would very much recommend to anyone to play, missions load up by themselves and are in different locations each time. As stated above play it in single player, but like most things in Arma best played as part of a group.

There are 4 types of tasks, which are randomly selected. Next one spawns when the previous is completed. Locations are based on bigger buildings of the map, so there are some variations: ~1000 buildings x 4 mission types randomly chosen.
