Damn, thanks
uGuardian  [author] 10 Jul @ 11:49pm
I recommend not touching Nexus Mods at all. It's both inconsistent whether they work with BBE or the old Basemod, and additionally regardless of which is the case, both often cause massive incompatibilities with workshop, so I really wouldn't ever touch Nexus, ever.
Erlking Heathcliff 9 Jul @ 7:50am
Yo, i downloaded the ones in nexus mod but it didn't seem to work, is it outdated? is this the only working one?
Surgent 28 Jun @ 8:32pm
if anyone is having trouble using this mod try launching it with mods.
great mod you did great work.
uGuardian  [author] 28 Jun @ 2:29pm
No, there isn't really, and I outlined my reasons why in the last comment, but I'll paraquote one of my older comments for further context.
The current number of books you get is a hardcoded value that's currently set to a maximum 16 bit integer, and in terms of gameplay execution there's no real purpose to have it constantly check a config or variable whenever it touches book values... not that it'd be any noticeable difference in optimization really.
Regardless, basically I just want it to be 1. enough that it won't ever be a problem, and 2. enough that it's obvious you got them through a mod even if you disable it.
ツ『Yukkσ』ツ 19 Jun @ 9:28am
Is there a way to lower the amount of books I receive? I wish it was like, only 50 instead of 30k
uGuardian  [author] 2 Jun @ 10:05pm
It changes the amount that the game returns whenever it checks how many you have, which also changes the underlying saved values as well.

Unfortunately the mod description warns that it can't be reverted, and that's at least partially by design and coding convenience. If you want to enable something to make the game easier, it leaves a marker in the form of the number of books.
It won't affect any books or pages you unlock for the first time after you turn the mod off though.
Inferno 1 Jun @ 9:52pm
Behind your work what did you do to even make this happen? Cause I want my normal amount of books back like I want 36 not 999m
rendostu 5 May @ 5:36am
doesnt work
uGuardian  [author] 18 Apr @ 4:12pm
Not really, but given the nature of the mod, you only need to draw one copy of each page for them to get duplicated, so burning about 20 copies should get you everything.
RICE S. 14 Apr @ 10:22am
Is there anyway to burn the amount of book you want without rapidly smashing my mouse? sry for my bad english.
Hodthesilly 5 Apr @ 6:33pm
1 billion books for me to eat
uGuardian  [author] 31 Jan @ 2:13pm
@Davynoe
All this does is it increases all books and pages you own to effectively infinite. If you never get the drop in the first place, then it can't help.
Davynoe 30 Jan @ 3:48am
works really well but it doesnt drop the book of nikolai in r corp reception? apparently she had to be emotion level 3 before dying or something
TeHbs 29 Jan @ 9:25pm
for some reason there are certain books is not giving me a stupid amount of drops of anyone know why this is happening?
Cha123r 28 Jan @ 10:36am
@uGuardian
thanks!
uGuardian  [author] 25 Jan @ 12:55pm
@Cha123r
No, but there is a mod called Achievement Unblocker that can turn them back on.
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2787073544&searchtext=achievment
Cha123r 25 Jan @ 7:14am
Do I still get achivements if I turns this on?
(thanks in advance)
uGuardian  [author] 17 Jan @ 4:39pm
I mean, this mod doesn't change the limit on keypages, and there are very few pages it gives you extra copies of that you couldn't normally get, and those are extreme endgame combat pages. (Look at YesGrind if you want to fix that, those pages are an oversight)

Other than that, I don't think there's any other mods that really lower the grind. Honestly I don't even think the grind is particularly bad in the first place, so I wouldn't even know where to start with making one somewhere in the middle.
KnightedWarrior 17 Jan @ 1:35am
Is there a mod like this that makes the grind easier, but doesn't change the limit of the pages?
It feels a little too op to give every character I have super strong pages.
ChinaNumbaWan 14 Jan @ 11:00am
can you start a new game with this mod enabled or do i need to enable it to copy the keypages
uGuardian  [author] 19 Nov, 2024 @ 12:43pm
First of all, you do mean the workshop version of BaseMod right?

Second of all, you did actually start the game with mods enabled and then tick the check box next to NoGrind?
Manager don quixote 19 Nov, 2024 @ 11:31am
mod isnt working? i just have basemod installed but it does not apply on star of the city books
Seras 31 Oct, 2024 @ 2:40pm
might just be that :sob: just noticed some other workshop mods aren't working lol
uGuardian  [author] 30 Oct, 2024 @ 10:06pm
Not sure what to tell you other than it's probably another mod. This mod doesn't even have any checks as to what book it's working with, so something else is probably interfering.
Seras 26 Oct, 2024 @ 2:20pm
actually doesn't seem to work with anything on star of the city...
Seras 24 Oct, 2024 @ 5:54pm
doesn't really seem to work with Redmist's book it seems :pain:
uGuardian  [author] 9 Aug, 2024 @ 2:52am
Have you actually started the game with mods enabled (when you press play you should get the "play with mods" prompt) and also ticked the checkbox next to it on the mod menu?
Jboyxtreme 8 Aug, 2024 @ 11:40am
yo i subbed but it's not working?
Elit3zinhu 11 Jul, 2024 @ 9:25am
this makes the game 99.9% easier (fair by the way) :steamhappy:
uGuardian  [author] 15 Jun, 2024 @ 1:52pm
It just means that Myo's books haven't dropped at all, which is either bad luck, her having low emotion level, or both.
Sacrabis 14 Jun, 2024 @ 11:00pm
Hi, the mod works perfectly except I haven't been able to get either of Myo's books. Is this a bug?
ruiner 13 Jun, 2024 @ 11:01pm
i see thank you
uGuardian  [author] 12 Jun, 2024 @ 6:19pm
I mean, if you disable it now, it won't apply to any future drops, only to the ones you already have.
(or if you wanted to restart, it doesn't exactly take long to just blow through the first two chapters)
ruiner 12 Jun, 2024 @ 5:13pm
well um im at early chapter 2 should i just go back to 0?
uGuardian  [author] 12 Jun, 2024 @ 4:03pm
That's the fun part, you don't.
There's no way to track what you used to have, since it directly modifies the inventory.
ruiner 10 Jun, 2024 @ 10:10pm
how would I make it so reverts everything back to normal? i've used yesgrind but it hasn't worked
aiheng 28 Apr, 2024 @ 3:04am
It looks like it's just a regular old conflict error, NoGrind doesn't like being put up together with CWR (City Wide Revolt), I'm not really sure why but maybe it's due to one of their updates
Dead Man's Answers 27 Apr, 2024 @ 12:51pm
i like this mod because im not spending half an hour to beat crying children again and get nothing
uGuardian  [author] 27 Apr, 2024 @ 12:43pm
@aiheng
Honestly it sounds like something corrupted or a previously used mod mangled your game files. My suggestion would genuinely be a complete reinstall of the game, and making sure no remnant files get left in the install folder.
You might also just try completely deleting the managed folder and verifying game files first, it'd take a lot less time than a complete reinstall.
Also if neither works, potentially a new save file, since I've seen some similar things happen with broken save files.

If somehow all of these don't work, feel free to grab game logs (I've explained how to get them in a below comment) and send them my way, and I'll try to investigate when I have the time.
uGuardian  [author] 27 Apr, 2024 @ 12:43pm
@Zenflight
Sorry, thought I answered this already, my bad.
Anyways, there are a very few pages towards the very end of the game you get only limited copies of. It's generally not too much of a concern, but if you want to avoid that, there is a companion mod someone made called "YesGrind" that specifically fixes those instances.
aiheng 26 Apr, 2024 @ 8:30am
Hey is NoGrind bugged? Tried playing LoR with mods again recently and for no apparent reason it just DOES NOT like being used. If you're going to ask, yes I know it's NoGrind specifically because I turned everything else off except for it and that's what's causing the issue.

Anyway issue is that I get this really weird blue screen where the LoR logo is loaded into the center and so is the mouse cursor, everything else is just blue boxes and a black background
zenflight 12 Apr, 2024 @ 11:01pm
For the drop-limited books, does that mean that there are books you would only ever get one singular copy of for the entire game? Or just that you would need to grind for multiple copies once at a time to burn for cards? I want to skip the grind, but I don't want to unintentionally break the game by having too many strong cards I wasn't meant to have.
Brangel 20 Mar, 2024 @ 5:54pm
I forgor, but it's working now apparently, thanks!
uGuardian  [author] 5 Mar, 2024 @ 12:54pm
So you've started the game with mods enabled, you get a list of mods, and just to make sure, rather than just clicking on the name of the mod you've actually clicked the empty box to the left of the name to turn it on?
I'm not referring to the subscribed check box in Steam, even after you subscribe to a mod, it's off by default in LoR itself.

If you make sure of this and it still doesn't function, you can get a log file at
C:\Users\[you]\AppData\LocalLow\Project Moon\LibraryOfRuina
(Where [you] is whichever user you are on the computer) and upload it to pastebin or something and then link it here, and I can investigate further.
Brangel 29 Feb, 2024 @ 9:56pm
I did, when I open the game it even asks if I want it modded or not, I click "With Mod", but when I clear missions it drops as usual
uGuardian  [author] 16 Jan, 2024 @ 1:24pm
Have you ticked the check box next to the mod to actually turn it on?
Brangel 14 Jan, 2024 @ 2:05pm
Hi! When I open the game the mod shows up, but nothing changes
POOP FART NUTS 4 Jan, 2024 @ 12:03am
