Also the traffic accidents as a situation is something I have been thinking about but it is quite a big change to the mod so I am a bit hesitant about it.
5) Electricity shortage / using more dirty energy to cover for a sudden, rapid transition to electric (at the moment, if all cars turned to electric overnight, there'd be a massive energy shortage unless coal power plants were turned back on - a more gradual transition could prevent this).
6) anything involving subways
7) anything involving pedways
1) Electric Charging Station subsidies. IRL today the vast majority of gas stations do not have chargers - a few government locations, parking lots, and individual homes may have them, but they aren't commonplace. A policy to build these out could work.
2) Ban on Ride-sharing. Studies have shown that ride-sharing increases traffic in urban areas and reduces the use of public transport - it'd also fuel the Gig Economy situation ingame. Banning it would reduce Gig Economy but make the self-employed very unhappy and commuters & capitalists somewhat unhappy, but make motorists happy (fewer cars on the road) and unionists happy (more unionized taxi drivers with full employment protections).
3) Subsidize electric car manufacturers.
