Decreace Bureaucracy does not work, also icons aren't fixed to show up as white in Dark mode. Otherwise, great mod :)

Eldaridas, what do you mean? Could you elaborate?

There is a Democracy 4 modding guide that gives a general explanation on mods:

Hey Denis !

Could you explain how to mod budget?
DennisDeSlager  [author] 28 May, 2023 @ 4:45pm
@scarpiog17 Rail priority gives you the option to prioritize passanger trains over freight trains. Not prioritizing trains over cars. Therefore, increasing railway priority will increase passanger trains, decrease freight trains, and in-turn increase road freight.

Its kind of weird that increasing railway priority also inreases freight transport....

Msgr.Bones' SSPX Ride Thanks for all the ideas and suggestions! I am not really good at writing the descriptions, I tried my best for most of them but if you have any suggestions on how to improve them, please let me know in the "Descriptions" discussion page that I opened.
Also the traffic accidents as a situation is something I have been thinking about but it is quite a big change to the mod so I am a bit hesitant about it.
Queen Victoria's Top Guy 3 Apr, 2022 @ 10:17pm
Also it would be good to get high traffic accidents as a situation instead of just a blue info bubble. Almost every country starts with high rates and it acts like a bad situation as far as killing popularity and other negative effects. It would be nice to be able to keep tabs on it easier via a situation.
Queen Victoria's Top Guy 3 Apr, 2022 @ 8:36pm
Honestly one of the only things I can suggest so far is the consistency of your capitalization. I think your descriptions are alright for the most part but I can write some for ones that seem lacking if you want.
DennisDeSlager  [author] 31 Mar, 2022 @ 1:13am
informaticienzero Sure, if you know how to do that. I personally don't know how to translate a mod.
informaticienzero 30 Mar, 2022 @ 9:18am
I'd be glad to help you translating your mod in French. :)

I was thinking about the energy policy expansion mod too!
DennisDeSlager  [author] 19 Mar, 2022 @ 5:04am
MarkJerue Thanks for the suggestions, I'll see what I can do. Idea 1 is already in the basegame I believe. And for idea 5 you should check out the energy policy expansion mod which adds electricity to democracy 4.
MarkJerue 15 Mar, 2022 @ 8:56pm
4) All-electric government vehicle fleet.

5) Electricity shortage / using more dirty energy to cover for a sudden, rapid transition to electric (at the moment, if all cars turned to electric overnight, there'd be a massive energy shortage unless coal power plants were turned back on - a more gradual transition could prevent this).

6) anything involving subways

7) anything involving pedways
MarkJerue 15 Mar, 2022 @ 8:56pm
Situation / policy ideas....

1) Electric Charging Station subsidies. IRL today the vast majority of gas stations do not have chargers - a few government locations, parking lots, and individual homes may have them, but they aren't commonplace. A policy to build these out could work.

2) Ban on Ride-sharing. Studies have shown that ride-sharing increases traffic in urban areas and reduces the use of public transport - it'd also fuel the Gig Economy situation ingame. Banning it would reduce Gig Economy but make the self-employed very unhappy and commuters & capitalists somewhat unhappy, but make motorists happy (fewer cars on the road) and unionists happy (more unionized taxi drivers with full employment protections).

3) Subsidize electric car manufacturers.
Barracuda 13 Feb, 2022 @ 11:07am
There is always way too many road accidents. Almost all nations start the game at max road accidents and hospitals overcrowding.
JesusDHG 25 Jan, 2022 @ 6:30pm
Can you make a stand-alone mod for your bureaucracy policy?
Barracuda 20 Jan, 2022 @ 6:20pm
Nevermind, it works. It's just that the effect doesn't show up until it becomes a situation.
Barracuda 17 Jan, 2022 @ 1:15pm
I really like the way this mod extends the policies. However the policy that reduces bureaucracy does nothing.
DennisDeSlager  [author] 14 Dec, 2021 @ 5:30am
Tundra C. Because traffic police prevents people from using legal drugs while driving and thus people will consume less legal drugs. At least, that is my reasoning. If you have another reasoning for why this effect should be different, let me know.
Tundra C. 14 Dec, 2021 @ 3:58am
How does traffic police reduce legal drug consumption?
DennisDeSlager  [author] 13 Dec, 2021 @ 3:05am
Adeptus Freemanicus, thanks man! It means a lot hearing that from the creators of one of the best mods in Democracy 4.
Adeptus Freemanicus 9 Dec, 2021 @ 8:38pm
Looks great, keep up the good work!
DennisDeSlager  [author] 6 Dec, 2021 @ 2:32pm
Relax_take it easy Great suggestion! I just realized I should add a "Traffic police" policy which will do DUI checks and other traffic police stuff. Thanks.
Relax_take it easy 6 Dec, 2021 @ 12:49pm
Great mod, I like it. By the way, can you add the law like DUI checks that increases the income and reduces alcohol consumption :steamhappy:
