It was never really tested in LWOTC. Even if it mechanically works, it will be completely out of sync with everything else in LWOTC.

Anyone kinda struggling with using the flamethrower part of the Pioneer? I feel like I get way more value from it as mobile cover, tank, and puncher because the flamethrower needs to roll to hit. Maybe an aim PCS will help matters a lot?

I'm having an odd issue. I suddenly can no longer send the Pioneer sparks on covert missions. I'm running Covert Infiltration and I just simply cannot send any Pioneer to do any covert action. I've tried different loadouts and anything I can think of, but sadly I can't figure out why this is happening. I can slot the Pioneer into the covert action but the "Start Mission" button is grayed out.

I'm running a very heavily modded campaign (516 mods), everything is working fine and this is just a minor annoyance but I'd love to remedy it. Any advice on a possible fix would be appreciated.

*edit: The Infiltrator and Artillery Sparks are fine and can go on any covert action.

Is there non Proficiency versions of these classes, I'd love to run these in a Sparks campaign, but the Proficiency stuff might clash with the Mechatronic Warfare Sparks.

yes, these projects affect all sparks. Which may or may not be a good thing - you don't want an artillery spark to use close combat specialist with a sniper rifle with only 1 ammo...

The Proficiency class pack is required only for abilities. It can work even without the bridge mod, as long as you disable the proficiency classes with, for example, Disable Any Class Redux.

Auxilary slot is another inventory slot unlocked by Iridar's Spark Arsenal. What you can equip in it depends on what other items you have equipped. For example once you finish the proving ground porject for Transforming Arm something something, you'll be able to equip heavy weapons in that slot.

how does the The supernova ability work? for me the range does not seem always to work. the outer area seems not to count properly.

The Autoguns are Heavy Weapons, the Spark Infiltrator will be able to use them fine (BIT heavy weapon slot) and the other 2 will be able to equip them as an option in auxiliary slot once Mechanized Arm Transformations is researched.

Hi - first time using this mod, and loving the skilltrees so far. Just wanted to check for clarity though, I assume these classes cannot equip the Kiruka autoguns from Iridars Arsenal? I'm guessing not as theyre never mentioned in the pinned class breakdowns.

I only ask as in my campaign I still had the proving ground project appear, however it didnt seem to unlock anything after completion. If this is as intended I might see if I can disable them entirely in Iridars Item Hider, though I forget if that affects proving ground projects/research etc or literally just the resulting items themselves....

I have after extensive testing found and fixed the problem I was experiencing, I found out I had a dated back up of the ballistic shield values that was missing the spark ones so nothing was applying, so after I reverted the mod then proceeded to back up those for future copy and pastes, now it's working as intended, sorry for any inconvenience, I was going thru process of elimination.

Ok, i have a problem, i built 3 new sparks and each is getting a "unused vanilla class" any idea what's causing this? the only spark mods i have is this one, the requirements sans the shell charges and 2 cosmetic mods adding more customization to them

I think it normally works on gatecrasher, but the starting spark is technically a different class, and it's not entirely related to this mod.

I'm sorry, what is "Musashi Overhaul"? You mean RPGO?
And what does it mean "grey out"? You see the ability in a mission but can't use it? If you click the ability, what error does it give?

I do not know if this has anything to do with it but using this along side mushashi overhaul mod greys out t he aid protocol ability on a Spark with a Gremlin.

For some reason the proficiency perks (core spark systems) aren't available to my sparks. My champion rank pioneer can use all its normal abilities, but can't reboot or use supernova, nor does it benefit from all the other bonuses etc. It's not just the pioneers either, none of the other classes seem to be benefiting from the core spark systems proficiency levels.

I'm running all the mods listed as requirements for this one, and none of the known conflicts, so I'm kind of confused as to what might be causing it.

Is this a common bug? If so, if anyone knows how to fix it that would be greatly appreciated.

@wilnemo35795 While not a direct adaptation, some of the mec trooper classes for lwotc may feel similar to some of those classes. Granted, these ARE mec trooper classes, compared to some those being spark classes, but they also use Iridar Spark Arsenal weapons, and some class trees may follow similar ideas.

OK, well, I may restart the campaign with the Perk Pack instead of the full mod next time I want to do that. There are a few new mods I want to try anyway. In the meantime, I'll just console command the items in as you suggest. Thanks to you and Rusty for your help!

@john.spence it wouldn't make a difference for what has already been done, but you could swap the mods for the next tier. alternatively if you want to keep all the extra stuff you can go and do the toggles in the mechatronic warfare configs to turn the research changes off. as for the ones that have failed to build, easiest answer is to console command them in with additem.

Thanks for your response. Do you know if I can swap out the full Mechatronic Warfare Mod for the Perk pack mid-game? It was just easier for me when I was adding mods to use the one I already had been using. Would that fix the problem given that the research has all already been done?

@john.spence the issue here i think is that you are using the full mechatronic warfare pack, not the perk pack. the full pack changes when the spark rifle upgrades are unlocked, which is probably the problem you are having. there is a reason that only the perk pack is set as required.

Hi Rusty, thanks for the quick response. I'll check the Spark Arsenal mod, I'm not yet playing with Covert Infiltration and I don't play LWOTC. I rushed getting the Sparks, thinking that the Artillery Spark had to be in play before the Weapon Research for Mag/Plasma weapons, but that made no difference. Other than this, I really like what this mod does - Thank you!

Those weapons (and their upgrade paths) are controlled from Spark Arsenal. The most likely cause of not being able to upgrade them would be playing in LWOTC (without ModJam+) or Covert Infiltration (without the correct bridge mod)

.. otherwise they should upgrade at the same time the normal rifle does

Hello, I've been playing XCOM 2 WOTC for a while, and my most recent campaign used this exciting mod for the first time. I was unable to upgrade the Artillery Spark weapons - the heavy sniper cannon or the ordinance launcher, even after researching all the way through Plasma Weapons. Iridar's Spark Arsenal mod shows three tiers of upgrades for these weapons. Is it possible to get these upgrades to the weapons somehow, or is that functionality missing from this mod? BTW, I am using the full Mechatronic Warfare Pack.

Is there an update on a mod that removed shield bash from Pioneer? I remember playing about a year ago and my Pioneer spark had shield bash. I am playing now and I have kinetic strike but no shield bash and I was going for a melee spark.

i tried looking through the comments but i couldnt find an answer. is the spark arsenal plugin shell charge mod a hard requirement? or is it ok to run this mod without that one?

Is it for all Sparks or a specific class? If it's a specific class, then you can control stat changes when becoming squaddie in the XComClassData ini file. If it's for the Spark character, then you need to edit the XComGameData_CharacterStats ini file (first look at the base game config files to understand how this file looks like, then you need to create a file with this name in any mod folder and do the changes there).
