Jump onto the COE5 modding discord if you want more help, I also link you to posts on it where I've helped other people with sprites and gone through how I make them in GIMP.
I cut some bits off the existing mushroom sprites, really just the top to get the cap and used their colour palette to make the rest. It was more or less from scratch copying the posture of standard sprites.
If you don't have the standard sprites from the game you should get them, they are fantastic bases/references to go off. You could also get the sprites from Dominions 5 which are in the same style. https://playgame.tips/conquest-of-elysium-5-coe5-modding-compendium
I'm making a modded class of my own and I was wondering how you did the sprites for yours. A lot of the human/humanoid ones seem to follow the same shape as vanilla humans. Is there a template of some kind? Or did you just make the sprites from scratch?
Love your work btw. The Myconid Lord class is my favorite!
Can't wait for the morel heads
