Understood hjess. TTS could really use a few more people on the team to sort out these rather small but annoying "features". Don't even get me started on the cloud file management system which I finally abandoned last year when I hit the file number cap...lol. Thanks for the invite.

I should add that what I mean are global states that you only have to set up once and then can apply to any counter or token you wish. On TTS I am under the impression that you would have to set up each counter with its own "moved" state which would be very time consuming.

Yes I have used those states in Lee Moves North and 1812 Area Control version. The icon that appears above them is indeed pretty intrusive. Maptools had it so that you could right click and set a state which could appear anywhere on the counter and with another right click you could get rid of it. It was just a another layer on top of the counter or token graphics which you could modify to any graphic or text you wished... would be nice to have that here.

Keep up the great work hjess. You can indeed do states for counters but I and at least a few other dev have discovered that the icon that appears when you mouse over any counter with states just gets in the way visually and really detracts from the game itself. See the two version of Pacific Tide as an example. The "improved version" over Cap's is anything but IMHO.

One thing I have wanted playing and importing games here so far... a "moved" state for counters (a fired state for some games as well.) I can't seem to find this ability so far. Vassal has it, even though my eyes strain to see it :)

Any suggestions or advice is most welcome, don't hesitate to let me know! I'm about to have to take a week off from mod making due to holidays, girlfriend and family but will back at it as soon as 2022 gets here!

Yes some of them are in pretty shabby condition! Vassal versions have some games cleaned up but I prefer to be as close to the original as possible (Bulge '65 the exception). I do have Gimp and have used it often, though good ol' Windows Paint is what I have used the most, using Gimp when I need transparency or something more advanced. Most of my experience comes from importing RPG adventures into a Virtual Tabletop program called Maptools, but my interests currently are demanding wargaming :) I was about to take the plunge into learning Vassal but discovered TTS was quite up to the job through a youtube let's play of AH's Waterloo. My intentions have been to do a "quick and dirty" version (but playable) and get all the SPI titles on here and then go back and spiffy them up, a "deluxe" version upgrade if you will.

Madmark56 was having issues with some of his previous SPI games with low quality counters until he finally had enough and redid them himself. Don't know if that's in your skillset but wanted to point it out as an option. You're sure to run into it with these older gems. I've done it as well when modifying and generally cleaning up some of the PanzerBlitz and Panzer Leader counters. GIMP graphic software is a great start and its free. Nice thing about the older games, the counter graphics are usually very basic.
