Thanks for the response. What I think they should do instead is update Starter Kits so making viewmodels based off the updated vanilla models could be easier as I have a lot of ideas to make these viewmodels better without changing too much to them.

Here comes a response two years later but yes, i agree. They shouldn't have touched the viewmodel positions or they should've added x,y,z commands for custom viewmodel placement. I think that would've been the best outcome. As for why they changed this, i think this is primarily for versus to allow you to see on both sides which enemy is coming, previously you couldn't see the right side very well because the position obstructed it

This is actually a pretty good add-on if you aim for a ex-vanilla type experience. Deserves a greater recognition as it is also a instant fix for a viewmodel arms cutting off at a higher FoVs.
