Phew! I finally got my own game finished and released on Steam. Now that I have more free time I got that Zomboid itch that needs a'scratchin! I think in hindsight my feelings were more of a me problem now that I have time to breathe. I also know that some people from here supported my game's Early Access and I wanted to say "thank you" somehow. So consider these mods back in action! I've got to get familiar with the new mod procedures and then everyone can expect updates. Maybe even some new mods! Stay alive out there o/

How are you supposed to deal with a cold? I thought I did everything I could but within less than 1 in-game hour I was dead

Doesn't this mod along with "Insanity" and "Infections" come from base on the "Danger Moodles" base? It's that I read the description of both and from what it says I interpret that in "Danger Moodles" it comes as standard, as a package together with Insanity and Infections, is that right or am I wrong? Thanks for your time in advance OgreLeg!

ANNOUNCEMENT: Thanks to everyone that has been enjoying the Danger Moodles and Danger Zone mods! I know I haven't been around as much as I was when I first put them out. I am working hard an update for my indie game. As soon as I've finished that update I will be back in full swing to fix bugs, dig through feedback for updates, and even to put out some fresh new mods! Thank you, everyone, for all the cool comments and I hope you've been having fun.

haven't caught a cold yet, so I haven't tested yet, but the Immersive Medicine only has blood system, and new types of medicine. I think it would go well with antitussive medicines in that mod unless that doesn't "reduce cold/flu metric" I'll comment here once I've experienced it. This mod will really turn the heat up (quite literally) as playing this game enough can pretty much make your character into a super survivor. I want them to be humans, and humans suffer when sick.

@blxckdreadful - That would be cool. I'm trying to think off the top of my head anything you should look out for just in case you run into compatability or medicine problems. The one thing that comes to mind is the "Fever Keeper" function in this mod. If a player leaves their cold/flu untreated to the point of high fever then the mod loops the fever growth, basically guaranteeing eventual death unless the fever is manually brought down below "90". (i.e. by eating common mallow or some other medicine that reduces cold/flu metric) Also, when at fever point the player is hit with sudden exhaustion. They won't be able to run and they'll need sleep.

Other than that, I think the rest of the mod is just state checks.

I'm gonna try this with Immersive Medicine, hope I could create a balanced yet the most hardcore health system in my local server

Id wish, Tissues and Toilet Paper would spawn more often, as these items seem to be the only ones, which helps keeping the coughing down.
Its weird, how literally no house seems to have the most basic stuff. x)
(WIth that being said, I love this mod!)

decided to try this mod(and the other moodles too) in a server with some friends had it as very cold aand prone to illness.....virtual distancing became a real thing, 11/10

@Alessandro - Aw, that sucks. This mod doesn't do anything to how you get a cold, though, only what happens once you get it. So your problems might be related to either another mod or your clothing is getting ripped up and losing it's ability to protect/keep warm. Right click on your clothes or armor and check "Inspect" to make sure your clothing is doing it's job properly. The game doesn't do a good job yet of letting players know the real-time status of their clothing/armor.

@OgreLeg gets sick easily and with clothes on, we had to remove it

@PudgyElderGod - No worries, it actually helped me out. I figured that would happen to a lot of people so I updated all the Danger Moodles mods so they wouldn't conflict like that. So it all worked out in the end lol

Oop, yeah that's on me. I had the base mod and those enabled at the same time. My bad!
OgreLeg  [author] 14 Dec, 2021 @ 7:36pm
I found out what was going on and fixed it. Thanks for the heads up!

Hey, I see a function in there from the old Danger Moodles. Are you running both the original Danger Moodles and this one at the same time by chance?
PudgyElderGod 14 Dec, 2021 @ 4:44pm
Trying to run this submod results in this error [pastebin.com]. It's a shame, because this is the part of the mod I was most excited for.
