Also like mentioned below on the previous comment, check if it works with another version of the unlimited trees mod that works for you, however this is likely not the cause of the issue as if it was, you'd probably be seeing just the trees missing.
As you have the map loading flat with nothing on it, it sounds like a mod conflict or a broken mod.
-> only way to really troubleshoot is check your mods and see if there are conflicts, or broken mods active.
I hope this helps!
After that I'd check the unlimited trees mod. There has been a number of update since the release of this map hence the mods have also changed; if you're using a newer version of the mod, try switching to the older version which is listed here as a requirement, and vice versa, if you're using the one listed here, try using the newest mod that allows for unlimited trees.
Hope this helps!
although i am really regretting not planning rail infrastructure first because i love trains in this game :(
thanks for this one, i always made cities with other maps but always came back to this one
There might be a tiny bit of quality degradation when it's uploaded to imgur, but judging by the file size it's pretty much the same quality as the original. Hopefully it's better than the posted one
I'd happily go grab you a CSL map view if I had it, but I've actually never used the mod so it's probably easier for you to get it yourself if you're familiar with the mod :)
Feel free to ask if you need anything else though, I'm always happy to help!
To fix it I also had to select the trees using the Move it marquee tool which made them visible but black and small.
I did a bit of testing and it seemed, saving and quitting to the menu didn't quite work as all the trees were there but still black when I loaded it up the next time, so after that I fully quit the game and then reopened it and the trees were now there and looking correct.
I'd recommend you use Tree Anarchy and unsubscribe the Unlimited Trees: Revisited. It's listed as a requirement solely to indicate that you need to raise the maximum tree limit with a mod, and the reason why UT:R is the mod in the requirements is because that was the mod that I was using when creating the map.
Just like the UT:R description says, you should nowadays probably use Tree Anarchy.
I hope this clarifies it :)
[Unlimited Trees: Revisited] The author said in the details page:
· You should subscribe to [Tree Anarchy] instead
· If you are still subscribed to this mod, I strongly recommend moving to the new [Tree Anarchy] mod which is a complete rewrite and includes both Tree Snapping and [Unlimited Trees] functionality along with a raft of performance and QOL improvements.

【Unlimited Trees: Revisited】作者在详情页里说到:
· 你应该订阅 [Tree Anarchy]
· 如果您仍然订阅此模组,我强烈建议您转移到新的 [Tree Anarchy] 模组,它是一个完全重写的模组,包括树捕捉和 [无限树] 功能以及大量性能和 QOL 改进。
Now, all that being said I doubt that the themes are actually essential. Sure, the visuals will be completely different, but I think the map should still function. I think there's an option to load the map up with an alternative theme before launching it too (this feature could be a part of a mod (environment changer, for example) though), which could be used to "override" the originally used map theme.
TLDR: I'm not sure, but if I were you I'd give it a go. Most likely the map will still function.
Now, to troubleshoot the issues you're having, firstly make sure you give it enough time. Sometimes the game takes an absurdly long time to generate ship/train/airplane traffic. Secondly, if after a considerable wait, traffic still doesn't appear, make sure you have enough population and activity in your city to actually support (i.e. be able to generate) those forms of traffic. Thirdly, you can raise the ship/airplane budgets in the budget menu, set them to maximum (both day and night) and see if it helps. If none of the above helps, then it's likely a 3rd party mod related issue. I hope this helps :)
Maps don't need updating per se (game updates don't break maps, as maps do not change the game code in any way unlike mods, which might break due to updates). Now, of course I'd update a map if it was broken, but as there are 15 000 current subscribers and this is the first time someone brings up issues with ships and airplanes, I can say with almost complete certainty that the issues you're experiencing are user specific (if it wasn't we'd be seeing way more complaints about the map being broken in some way).
At this point, I don't have any direct ideas of what specific mod could be the root cause so I'd start troubleshooting the issue by disabling "unnecessary" visual mods one by one and seeing how disabling each mod affects the visuals. The process can be a pain in the ass but it's a foolproof way to "hunt down" the mods that cause the extra brightness. Once you've managed to identify which mod has the undesired effect on the visuals, you can re-enable it if you wish - now you know which mod's settings you have to tinker with. I hope this helps :)
Anyhow, yeah your view of the map does look really bright. It kind of does look like just as if Daylight Classic was set to "All to After Dark", but since I think we already covered that, this shouldn't be the case. I'd encourage you to double (or triple) check that Daylight Classic is actually active in the mod manager anyway, as the view is so reminiscent of the non-Daylight Classic view.
Do you use for example Relight, Ultimate Eyecandy or other visual mods other than the ones listed in the description? If so, the cause of this issue might be due to something in those mods' settings.
If you post a few screenshots on your steam profile (or any public platform that you prefer) and send me a link to those images (post here or on my profile comments), I'll gladly take a look at what we're working with!
