you CAN craft them, you can also find them in the wild, they copied their spawns from guns, so check military outposts, police, or gun stores

Yeah 'Better Belts' uses a depreciated & now-defunct hotbar API so that's 100% the cause of the compatibility weirdness. Not sure if the mod is still supported, cause i'd love to see it get updated to modern standards & compatibility.

@Bambi Did some testing, and it works as long as the Better Belts belt is equipped after your holster and sling. Equipping a sling after the borked hotbar slots causes any further hotbar slots to also break, whereas if you equip the sling first, making it hotbar slot 2, it works fine.

@huflungpu no idea, never used that mod. it might work, it at least works alongside "noir's attachments" which does also gives more hotbar slots, as long as you dont go over 10 slots it SHOULD be fine

Is this compatible with the better belts mod, which adds 2 extra hotbar slots? Better belts has the same issue as the original sling mod where the hotbar keys dont work, even though the items are equipped.

Equipping a backpack and a sling with cause a visual bug where the rifle is slung on your back instead of the side backpack pocket

Actually that's beyond me. I thought it was simpler, but I was wrong.

seems like it should be pretty straight forward, in Sling mod fix\media\lua\client\Hotbar\Sling_ISHotbarAttachDefinition.lua it looks like the "attachment" section could be deciding what kind of items are allowed to be equipped, but i could be wrong

also note that Sling mod fix\media\lua\client\Timedactions used to contain 2 luas in it that had something to do with equipping the weapon, as i said i dont code so i didnt really understand, but found those 2 files were creating the bug from the original rifle sling mod that would deequip your weapon everytime you tried to attack
so i removed them, hence why they are missing
you can still get the files from arkyets original version in the description above

The sling can holster a shotgun or other large gun, do you think it could be modified to holster another large weapon like a bat or crowbar?

Bruh it still bug with Belt gear weapon

Nevermind lol the sling weapon hotkey was the same one that spawned in a wild survivor. SImply switching the binding fixes it im a dumbass

does anyone elses sling somehow spawn in an npc at your location whenever you equip a weapon that is attached to it?

Is this compatible with the 'Firearms B41' mod? I've noticed that 'Firearms' spawns its own 2 Point Sling and I think it might be replacing the sling with this mod as I have yet to find one ever since using it.
