But yeah been using this map since the release and was a change, stopped using CUP and shit for this, i said it this map is the proof you don't need CUP for any terrain.

Thanks :)
You can find it for use in your missions here:

The terrain was made with vanilla assets. Vanilla assets don't have mosques, and the guy still made a very valid and arguable substitute with its use of Orthodox churches as religious centers in his terrain. This isn't an entire country, it's a terrain. You could just make up an excuse in your head. Maybe Bastek is an area where an (Insert Middle-Eastern Country)'s population of Orthodox Christians settled in to avoid persecutions centuries ago, said Middle-Eastern Country's government just let them be and allowed a degree of autonomy because it was sealocked and partially isolated - it would make sense.
You're supposed to make up stuff for it anyways, so why not use your imagination and put in a pseudo-historical justification for why it uses Orthodox churches instead of mosques?
"here, let me give you an example in real-life of Orthodox Churches being a relatively common sight in a Muslim/Middle-Eastern country"
We know that there are Christian churches in some more tolerant Muslim countries.
Now please send us an example of a Muslim country in which there are lots of Christian Orthodox churches and zero mosques, because that's what the discussion is all about. 🙂
here, let me give you an example in real-life of Orthodox Churches being a relatively common sight in a Muslim/Middle-Eastern country:

History:
@Gaulis stated something that was incorrect
@momo12320 basically stated @Gaulis should have known about what he stated was incorrect.
I told @momo12320 that he should have been nicer and not everybody knows everything. We ALL started knowing NOTHING.
@momo12320 agreed and apologized.
I said thank you to @momo12320 for doing the right thing.
THE END
Where in the HADES DID YOU GET WHAT YOU WROTE FROM THE ABOVE!?!?!?!?!!?
Based on your replies @Gattobuono, the owner, @Vectif, should ban you and delete all of your messages. You are just a mean person who adds nothing of substance to any conversation. Your messages are a true waste of time.
@Vectif - You have done an excellent job on this map and thank you for your time and effort on such!
:)
Careful, you'll have people criticising you for pointing out an obvious flaw! ;-)
"i can't believe that some of you can get: "mad" about some buildings on a fantasy map that the creator have made out of his own idea.."
Firstly, no one is 'mad', people are simply pointing out that some of the prominent buildings on this map are inappropriate for the supposed setting.
Secondly, this is not a "fantasy map that the creator have made out of his own idea"
Read the description:
"The terrain was made from researching different regions in the middle east (such as Dubai, Syria, Qatar, Iran, Afghanistan, etc) alongside investigating other games set in such regions. As such, Bastek is no exact representation of any of these locations, but more so a mixture of all of them. It is fictionally located north of the United Arab Emirates and south of Iran."
Shame you don't want to listen to informed feedback and improve your mod though.
I'm a modder for a completely different game, so no mosques for your map I'm afraid.
But I'll give you some free advice: if your intent is to make a generic Middle Eastern location then you need to focus on the defining characteristics of the Middle East, which, by the way, is a massive area with dramatic variations in terrain, flora and architecture.
I've spent a lot of time researching the ME for the game I'm working on, and I'm helped by my wife, a Christian who was born, and grew up in a Muslim country.
Eastern European Orthodox churches are NOT a defining characteristic of the Middle East. It would be better to have nothing on your map than those totally out of place structures, which are way too prominent in these screenshots. They stick out like a sore thumb.
I assume that you want to improve your mod, no? Well there's your feedback. :-)
let me know when they're done, the community would love it!
"Yes, an educated/informed person would know that in the Middle East there are Christian churches."
An educated person would know that whilst there are Christian Churches in the middle east, they are hardly more prominent that Mosques, and they are certainly NOT Eastern European Orthodox churches as appear in the screen shots.
There is very little Middle Eastern in these screenshots apart from the palm trees and the sand. One screenshot shows a street full of smart looking Southern Mediterranean houses with lovely green grass and European deciduous trees.
Hence I would have to agree with momo12320 that the map maker has very little knowledge of the ME.
And by the way, insulting someone for insulting someone for agreeing with someone isn't the action of an "educated person".
