I have confirmed that this is officially broken.
I'll experiment with some other methods to achieve saltwater to freshwater conversions

So how does this work? What does it do to convert seawater to freshwater?

This only converts about 133L for me, I'm pretty sure all it's doing is dumping the fresh water that spawns with the radiators.
