This looks like Beleriand in the first age of Middle-Earth if the Dagor Bragollach was 10x stronger. You've even the Blue Mountains and Gondlin as well as the Mountains being aboot in the right spots. Anyway, beautiful job all the same!

@thebossjames4 you can just use the eraser to eliminate all life and I'm pretty sure there is a tool to remove houses

The audio book version of the Wheel of Time book series, is very very well done. The narrator voice acts the lines, and makes the books come alive. Highly recommend it.

High recommend reading the Wheel of Time, by Robert Jordan. The map has nothing to do with it, just the impression it gave me. This world hints at the madness of the Black Wind, but its it totally unrelated.

Machin Shin, the Black Wind, is from the Wheel of Time series, for anyone wondering. Clicked on the map because I recognized the passage... :D

Much of the history of this world is forgotten, but I can tell you some. The world was not always this way. For many years, humanity lived in this land in relative peace. The priests-kings of The Wy tended the land, and kept the Great Spring pure through constant ministration. But, as those early kingdoms grew, resources and food became more and more scarce, and disparity did abound. And the Wy, having no need to hunt or toil in the fields, became the object of man's jealousy. War became the norm, as those loyal to the Wy fought with the disenfranchised masses.

Over the next few centuries, humanity fragmented into many warring states. Justification was abandoned, and peace was replaced with hatred. The land became saturated with the blood of the slain. More and more humans gave into the cycle of depravity. During this interregnum, the suffering of souls was so great that the very land began to decay. The blood of the innocent cried out in anguish, gaining volition. These wailing souls manifested as twisted abominations. Malformed beings that could change reality into a warped echo if it former self. Anyone who has traveled the plains of Nestera will hear the whisper of profane mantras, and the maddening laughing-screams of the undead. The land has turned black, and the trees, which are living souls, twisted by corruption, writhe with constant pain, a mockery of life.

Also during that time, the Immortal Orurota would found the Circle of Nestera. Having grown up during the Interregnum, Orurota was born right as the first tales of corruption were being told. In his early adult years, he was nearly killed by Mashada, a powerful wraith, but he overcame it, gaining a means to immortality in the process. His discovery of death magic was paramount to humanity's survival in their self-made hell. The Circle maintains a hierarchy based on capability and prowess in combat. Death magic is bestowed upon its most elite members. Yet Orurota and his new cadre did not stop here. They sought to destroy the people of the Wy, who were now viewed with contempt and hatred for their unmarred lives. Many even blamed them for their current situation.

The Circle emerged from the long interregnum as the dominant human government. One based on subjugation and hatred, forged by savagery and bloodshed. The Circle's main goal is to wipe out the Wy and fully corrupt the Spring in order to remake the world. About 150 years ago, the Circle did in fact successfully breach the walls of the Great Spring. Wepu and his death magi, despite hesitations from Orurota, corrupted their souls, and the souls of all Nesterabi, by slaughtering man, woman and child, and throwing their bodies into the spring. Yet at the sight of this, the peaceful Priest King of the Wy sacrificed himself, for the preservation of his progeny. This act was answered by their god. However, having lost so many, the god of the Wy could not do much more than eject the Nesterab hordes from their lands. An act that would be its last.

Despite the efforts of the god, the spring had dried up, and the Veil that was holding back chaotic forces of the Extern shattered. Thus demons of wrath, attracted by the pain and suffering of centuries, began to manifest in a Class 9 MCE (major conflagration event), one of the highest possible MCE's. Having achieved their goal, at least in part, the Circle immediately succumbed to its nature, and split into 2 factions. Ine, led by a now repentant Oruroto. Yet the MCE has introduced demons of wrath from Anor ag Siul (meaning Chasm of Abject Grief/Torment), who have their own goals for humanity. It is very likely humans will go extinct on this world unless another force intervenes.

What happened to this world? It only lava, ghost or skeleton everywhere and demons with a few barely surviving empires I need answers I need lore! anyway very beautiful map
