The paper objective in the Boathouse is incredibly confusing, and even after seeing explanations here we got stuck thinking it was bugged, since we assumed paper meant the code near the computer and not the Newspaper, mainly due to the Newspaper being a movable prop and the interaction requiring you to hold E.
It would be a massive improvement to both make the newspaper static, and to update the main objective text instead of relying on fading in text that can be easy to miss.
5) Also, map renames have changed since the last update
No longer do mappers need to put in v1, v2, v3, v4 etc. for new version - just keep the filename the same.
This is because server administrators are supposed to use the following command to install a map via the console or rcon
workshop_download 2686773230
i.e. no more FDL servers. This means that all players will connect to Valves Workshop to download the latest version of the map.
Keeping the filename the same from now on means server administrators don't have to beep updating in mapcycle.txt (for server administrators)
If everyone uses this method, no need for FDL servers - and all servers will have the latest version of the map. And the map on players computers will automatically be updated to latest version every time.
1) Another bug - the 3rd jump across the gorge - - climbing off the rock is very difficult - people slip and fall constantly down to sea level- maybe a gentle slope to the road instead of 2 small boulders.
2) When we had to open the gate - it was not immediate obvious that there was a lever in addition to the wheel that needed to be pulled - maybe highlight that lever with a yellow outline too?
3) One more thing - not sure if a bug or not. When we went down the ladder at the forcefield bridge, and triggered the button to drop the forcefield - it was nearly 5 mins (not 1 min) before the forcefield dropped. Maybe there was a second switch someone else found on the map
Put a respawn point near the bridge or in the docks area - on a casual respawing server, everyone was respawing way back at the start.
