Not sure about the following races but please check them and, if needed, add them too:
- Paniel the Automaton
- Nearmare
- Maru
- Miho the celestial fox
- Dragonian Prime Race 2.0
- Kijin Race 3.0
- Mincho, The Mint Choco Slime ~ HAR ver.

could you do the ratkin race from the mod ratkinplus? they add a bunch of cool apparel but i need my pawns to become a ratkin to use any of it. its a shame.

holle! it seems to me that the research option of A Rim Reborn is not as effective as it should be. My pawn can research it, but it needs to do other research to get the pawn to use the research table before switching to the research option of A Rim Reborn to increase the research progress...

thx I needed something like this, since I found a lot of the royalty implants didn't work after 1.3 on custom races. I would have had to add them manually using debug or character editor.

2323, if you want to wear kurin clothes, you may wish to try the alien bb type mod that is able to utilize a lot of modded clothing.

@23232fdna: Only for clothing types that are compatible with the base game body types. Unfortunately Kurin have a custom body type so I don't have their clothes wearable by other races as it would cause their bodies to become invisible.

Managed to track down the cause of it, for some reason they moved the race restrictions from XML to a C# library so I'll have to work on some way to cut that out without removing everything else in the library. For the moment I'll mark the AX mods as under maintenance.

it's everything so far as i can tell. but for that matter noone that isn't a tau can't make fio'tak which is a building material for the tau, neither could anyone who weren't a tau research the tau combat armor or anything leading up to it

I've double-checked and none of the Adeptus Xenobiologis races actually add research projects any more. There are some references to them commented out in the race definition files but this wouldn't have any effect.

Could you give me the name of the specific project you're unable to work on?

well the mod i'm talking about is the Adeptus Xenobiologis: Tau, Kroot, Vespid. it doesn't seem to work with any of the mods that the creator made, actually.

Sorry for the lack of activity recently, life has been a lot and I didn't have the motivation to look at this.

This mod can be added mid-save without issue.

I've sadly had to drop support for Kobolds of the Rim. The only restriction this mod was removing from them was the clothing and it was causing the invisible body bug.

RimVali do not use Humanoid Alien Races and I'm unsure how easy it would be to do something similar with them. I'll keep it in mind for a future mod but I won't be adding that to this one.

If you're having problems with research I'll need to know specifically which mod the research is from to bugfix.

It seems that clothing from Kobolds of the Rim will cause non kobolds to go invisible, This is only for chest armor and the fur collar (which causes heads to go invisible.)

btw is this fine to be added mid save? and also this might be a big ask could you make a mod settings list where it shows you all the races present in your game and lets you enable/disable certain parts of the restriction limiter, for example one race might have race locked research but also its humans spawn wearing their clothes which causes them to be invisible

Ah, yeah I can see the confusion from that. This mod only lifts restrictions on which races can perform the operations, not receiving them. I'll update the description to be clearer.

I thought about using that mod for some time, but I didn't want that comprehensive of a solution and reading your mod's description: "Removes race restrictions on ... operations," gave me hope, not gonna lie. I guess I will resort to that then, thanks again :)

@Litestop: This mod doesn't touch operations as I feel that is already handled well by Xenobiotic Patcher. I'd recommend using that to make bionics more compatible between humanoid species.

I can't seem to operate on Asari and Dryads from "Rim-Effect: Asari and Reapers" and "Warhammer"ish": Dryads" mods. I was hoping to install bionics on them, but I see no difference on the list of operations with this mod installed. Are they not supported or is there a bug somewhere?

@DigiDragoon: That's really strange. I've looked into it but can't find anything that would cause that to happen. If you get the chance could you post your HugsLib log? I'm thinking that this mod, Dryads, and something else on your mod list are conflicting together to cause this.

This mod appears to cause Warhammer"ish" Dryad bodies to spawn non-dryads when used. I removed it and they started behaving normally.

@NialMontana Just updated to stop Kurin clothing from being used by anyone. I've been trying to go back and patch out anything causing invisible bodies so thanks for reporting that.

For clarity, it's not something I can easily remove restrictions on as races with only one body type that have their own clothing will only work for pawns of that same body type. Adding support for other bodies would require creating new assets to fit the clothes to those bodies, something I don't have the skills to do and would be a large undertaking.

So just curious if it would be possible to add options to redisable certain features? In my current setup (which is excessively large) any race wearing Kurin clothing is invisible but raiders, etc. frequently spawn wearing it.

Someone else was having a similar issue a couple weeks ago but we couldn't track down the source of the problem before it suddenly fixed itself. Sorry I can't be of more help but it might just need some time to work.

Hmm, it seems I actually still can't have humans equip Kurin clothing. I'm able to only do so when using Character Editor before the start of games, but afterward if unequipped then they cannot be re-equipped. Although the research and buildings seem to work, other than that.

@DreiPixel Yeah I've been thinking about leaving the apparel wearing restrictions as is for different body types, I just haven't found the time to do it yet.

would it be possible to add options what we want to restrict?

for example:
the clothing from the Epona race is not compatible with... anything except for the race itself.
when now a human or another race is wearing those clothes they become invisible.

so it would be nice to disable this part of the mod.
