Quays this narrow are less than or near the width of the underlying ground mesh. So the ground mesh has difficulty conforming to the rapid change in slope. I would assume this is why the vanilla quays are so wide. Way beyond what could be considered scale.

Ah, my bad. I´ll figure out another way to use it later then. :) *goes back to read the instructions one more time* I think I read it... but forgot about it.

you might want to read the previous comments. This quay is narrow for more tight places. place a .5 meter terraforming network on the water side, adjust its distance from the quay then wiggle the quay a little bit and those gaps should disappear. This happens because the width of the quay is so narrow. You get these gaps with all quays, wider ones just cover it up

I am seeing some glitches when I place this quay. On the inside of it, opposite the water, I can see through the ground along the entirety of the quay. Its like a 1 cm opening. If I pan around the camera from the other side I dont see it. Its only from the seaside I i see it.

LOOKS SO MUCH BETTER FOR MY OIL DOCKS :-)

@LDTailor using the terraforming networks is an exercise of fiddling as each segment depending on height, curves etc ends up unique. Play around with the different sizes as well.

@VecchioChristo It's like you heard my right before bedtime tears and swooped in to save the day like Santa Claus!

I get those gaps all the time, you just have to push and shove the quay a little to make them disappear.

And thanks for the additional info. I'm not wot working on map editor at the moment. But will try the terraforming networks.

@LDtailor, I might have steered you wrong with the terraforming network, I answered too fast without taking time to think. The terreforming networks are for the water side to hold down ground spikes. Youy must be working in map editor. When opened in game those gaps should dissapear or use the common ground mod
VecchioChristo  [author] 21 Dec, 2021 @ 7:53pm
If your working on a map in map editor you will need the common ground mod to see the effect.

you have to adjust their distance from the quay and watch, you can see the gaps appear and disappear. also you may need to wiggle the quay with move it

Thanks for the tip mate. Will try that trick!

I added it to the required items

Terraforming Network Extended (pack)

@LDtailor , the gap is caused by the quays being so narrow. The mesh of the ground is too coarse to adapt. Use the terreforming networks by Sp3ctre. Place on the water side and adjust the elevation. They are invisible networks and work great. It will fix you right up!

Hi there VecchioChristo. Your last quays are great but for me they leave a gap between the walkway and the terrain. It can be covered with ploppable pavement, for example, but thats not very user friendly. Just wanted to let you know and maybe you can take a look at it.

Tryed them without the lamp or bollard subscribed. Is this the reason? In your photos there's no gap...

So nice.

Great quay again. The grungy feel is fantastic.
