Where is the option/mod that changes The Assassin's tracking shot behavior? Love that idea but I don't really want most of the tweaks because I'm not that good.

Running on a lower difficulty would be fine, but most of the adjustments here were made for legend difficulty .... in the configs, anywhere you see "_Diff_3" is where it was adjusted specifically for legend... you might want to mirror/copy those to the other difficulties ("_Diff_2" etc)

The campaign worked with the modlist, and no extra mods. When the AML complains about "mod dependencies missing" they can be safely ignored as the modpack covers those mods by using others.

As you can see from the playthrough the campaign ran right to completion :)

Seems as though the DLCs are in a bundle sale so might as well just buy them and run the full Season 7 modpack yeah?

I don't have any experience with Season 6 or Season 7 of Odd's play throughs other than the first few eps. Are you able to advise so I don't sink 200hrs onto a lost cause? 😬

I'm not sure I'm up to Legend status - would running a lower difficulty still be playable or would it be broken without your config adjustments?

We made changes to Very Angry Sectopod mod to reduce HP, armor and mobility (on legend only iirc). You could check but I think we put vanilla values. So either remove the lines regarding the Sectopod or put yours.
I didn't follow the evolution of the associated mods nor did I see authors comments. You can use the mod fully or use parts of it. Totally up to you 😉

Can I use this mod if I'm not installing ALL of the mods from Season 7? For example I haven't installed Very Angry Sectopod - will the code in the XComGameData_CharacterStats.ini be ignored, or will it throw an error looking for that mod?

Also wondering whether it's better to NOT use this mod based on the authors comments about changes to mods since the start of the campaign (potentially causing balance issues). I could imagine it would be a nightmare to double check what may have been updated, and any balance issues wouldn't be obvious until a mid-game encounter?

Most likely due to the tweaks setup only balancing for Legend difficulty (which Odd played the campaign at)

I just noticed mission timer definitions are different for difficulties which aren't legend. Is this because you're only balancing around legend difficulty, or is there some other mechanic in play I don't know about?

(Trying out this modset, but a little nervous to jump straight in at legend difficulty)

Okay, thanks for the advice on most of those things. I spent about 20 solid hours over a week getting things to not crash aha and i had resolved myself to accept the things ^^.

But I am interested to know will everything break if i remove yellow alert?

Note that those are tweaks for mods that may have seen changes between the start of campaign and now. Those changes may affect this mod too.

That being said Yellow Alert is what it is. Let the enemy come at you and they can act. Find them and you have the initiative.
Non Lethal Combat had some updates so our changes could be affected.

Regarding the experimental weapons you may have chosen different starting options. Like Integrated DLC. Odd's season 7 had that all untick iirc

Also with yellow gameplay alert, im unsure if you mean they only take defensive actions, so for example I take down a pod, the next pod that walks into my overwatch as i wait for them, move into cover and then shoot. This is the first mission, gatecrash, is this typical behavior cause I would like to remove Yellow gameplay if they get to move in and shoot like this T.T

I have the mods plus extras so I don't know if something is conflicting, but I feel fairly sure this isnt being applied correctly as my non lethal stun is actually 6 turns? I also have soldiers with very weak aim with weak will which doesnt feel like 99 points in the mod but thats not factual, just a feeling.

Also this one is just a question that anyone could help with if this edit isnt responsible, how come in Odd's season 7 he does not need to research experimental weapons but I do ?

I think it's the second time I hear that. Can you link to the reddit thread please? Also I will take a crash log if you still have.

The only candidate I see is increasing squadsize for Leviathan since the mission is generated during that cinematic. But then other mods that do the same should crash too 🤨
Will take a look during the week end and will remove the feature if I don't find anything sus.

I agree I wouldve never thought that this mod would be the culprit it wasn't until I searched reddit that I found that the fix was disabling the mod. I used console commands to get to the crash point on multiple campaigns and when I'd disable the mod for whatever reason I could continue past the point. again love your mods and have used them countless times. I think it was one of the updates made because I used this mod earlier in the year with no problems and run the same mods. I took a 4 month hiatus from xcom and now basically I've encountered the problem:/

That's weird as there is nothing in this mod that should cause a crash.
It's 99% config changes of other mods used in the season collection.

And obviously this was used in season run without issue.

More likely that there is another mod being used that is not in the season collection, that is causing issues.

This also seems a bit of a specific of a place to crash?
I would suspect something that changes/skips video playback tbh.

Hi I hate to bring bad news but Ive found out that this mod will crash your game on march 27th when the first avatar project video plays if you run this without certain mods that it uses to be specific I believe the enemy mods however not entirely sure. I can confirm this through a few hours of troubleshooting it and the problem goes away when I disable this mod. a found that this mod was the problem because a few others on reddit encountered the same issue. If the mod author sees this I'm just letting you know not trying to be a jerk or anything

the instruction at 0.00007FF62707F1D4 referenced memory at 0.0000000.
The memory could not read.

When i chick any button to drop troops into the mission. The mission is Malformed Alter, with the sitreps, The Horde and High Explosives.

What can I do to continue to play the game?

there are (hacking success) rewards that will cut the scan timer in half for like 6 weeks.
good when combined with scan sites give double resources.

I found it. Covert Infiltration sets all POI scan sites to a min of 10 days and a max of 13.

That is not from a mod or setting.. most likely a combination of Difficulty Level, CI and either Dark Event that doubles scanning times or a Chosen sabotage for extended scanning times

The problem is that long timers makes things much easier cause there's a lot less stress. The mod team made them longer cause there were a ton of enemies and Odd was having too hard of a time, and I would like to make them shorter.

is this coded in an .ini somewhere? Where can I change it?

imo timers don't really add much value to xcom 2.
it was added to reduce the overwatch spam from previous game.
it doesn't mean we should all treat those timers like they're a measurement that dictates how the game should be played.

Where can I adjust the timers? I feel that they are just too generous atm. like the mission type that usually has 4 turns and you need to reveal to destroy small relays to increase timer shouldn't increase to more than 6-8, even with the added enemies and stuff

Ok, so I managed to find out how by reading some of the earlier comments. If I want all the Vipers and Mutons and their mod added counterparts to use their default names, should I just delete their lines in XComGame.int?

Hello. I really appreciate that you guys even bothered to put this up just in case other people also want to use it. That being said, is there a way to revert the name changes to the enemies back to defaullt? I tried looking at the config and all the .inis but couldn't figure out what to do.

This mod doesn't nothing outside of what is in the description.
If by "normal mod" you meant the original mod behavior then you can simply remove the Denmother folder here.

hey does this mod overwrite the classes in the game i downloaded the collection and tried adding the officer mod and it worked in character pool but in game the class is removed also wanted to make keepers a normal mod i hope im not being a annoyance.

i got a strange lock up. unsure how this happens,
i was doing one research, then i switched to "exalt chip decryption [instant]"
standard popup - tygan asked me if i wanted to pause current research. i said yes.
next screen shows me report for completing exalt chip decryption - but with no button to click to exit this screen.
must alt tab out and kill xcom2 process and reload previous save.

Hmm might be a weird occurence when the Yellow Alert mod will load its config after the Odd Tweaks I don't know 🤔
Ideally you could try with a local mod see it that solves things.
