This is SERIOUSLY the best guide I've found for beginners. I have difficulty understanding new things, but your tutorial helped me get right to it. Thank you so much!!

There is a large oasis in the tileset for this beginner's edit&play, I'm wondering if I could use this graphic for my own game or not and who should be credited for it in the credits?

@alliroseknacks: No problem. It's kinda clunky the way it works. Hopefully someone can make a better modification for steam workshop files than that in the future.

Thank you. I finally figured it out. I feel really dumb for having so much trouble with it, but I'm glad I finally caught on. Thanks again!

@Alliroseknacks: What you do is you find a workshop item and press subscribe. Then you open RPG Maker. Go to File > Manage Projects. You'll see all the files YOU made and all the files you subscribed to. And you just open it from there.
DhampirDwalling 16 Sep, 2014 @ 7:40pm
...um...you download this game via subscription? I subscribed, but...I don't think it downloaded.
I feel incredibly dumb, right now, but I'm having a great deal of trouble figuring this out...
Doone  [author] 16 Sep, 2014 @ 7:26pm
@alliroseknacks: You just go to the Steam workshop (or other RPGM sites) and download them. Some workshop files have to be opened from inside RPG Maker by going to the File menu to open it from the steam interface. I cant think of the proper name for it in the app, but it's in the menu file. From there you pick whatever games you Subscribed to.

Question: If a friend bought RPG Maker VX Ace for me and gifted it to me, how can I access games?
I had a trial version, earlier this year, and when I try to open your game, it takes me to the menu of the expired trial version. :(

@doubleunderscore: See the description above? There's a link that says "GUIDE".
DoubleUnderscore 29 Jun, 2014 @ 7:05am
Can you explain where and how to find this guide? Exactly what "menu" are you talking about?

Well for whatever reason all its problem was was that it just decided to not download all the way it just gave me the image, but I have it now. By the way, not to be too picky, there are a lot of menus, please be more specific.
Doone  [author] 24 Jun, 2014 @ 10:29am
You use the Subscribe button. When you open RPGMaker you can find it in the menu
AbbyssalChimera 24 Jun, 2014 @ 12:53am
Where is it supposed to download to? I can't find it for the life of me.
