Slight update to the map to increase HELO respawn time in order for AA to feel rewarding and prevent air rape.

Also fixed one outstanding neighbors issue- eagles deployment will no longer be a target for capture once Raven own construction site,as is normal for my maps.

no worries! its not much of an issue anyway because you can still use the vanilla spawn menu with the beta. im not too sure how to pull it up since i use controller to play but i think youd press the battleplan key? then from there you can view vanilla spawns, and just “hide” the 2042 hud with enter until spawning 😊

Hey thanks for clearing up he issue with 2042 HUD. Never considered a parachute / air spawn would be a conflict.

RUSH mode has no vehicles,one side (defenders) own all point and attackers must drive through each,one by one. Defenders will defend the furthest point(frontline) to the attackers spawn or nearest owned flag...Defenders NEVER retake lost flags,they simply win by killing enough of the attacking team,attackers win by capturing all the flags.

For the mode to work with decent balance,you must play with these settings:

MODE : BATTLE
LENGTH: LONG OR EPIC
RESPAWN TIME: 20 SEC
BALANCE: DEFENDERS NEED SLIGHTLY LESS BOTS,MOVE SLIDER LOW BUT DONT REMOVE ANY SILOHETES OF SOLDIERS IN THE BALANCE SCREEN,SLIDER CIRCLE SHOULD BE OVER THE HEAD OF THE MIDDLE RAVEN SOLDIER IN BALANCE SCREEN(TINKER WITH THIS UNITL YOU FIND A BALANCE YOUR HAPPY WITH,PROPOSED SETTINGS ARE TESTED WITH AI V AI AND NO PLAYER ON EITHER TEAM)

@Damgam to spawn, use the vanilla spawn menu instead of 2042s, and use 2042 for any spawn points besides the initial E/R spawns. the 2042 hud is simply in conflict with this maps spawning in air functionality, but that doesnt mean you cant spawn at all. hope this helps

lovely map btw! ive never played battlefield but this map is really fun in ravenfield and i play it often. can i ask how the rush version differs? if not dont worry ill google the game mode difference im just not a bf player. tysm for making it~ ☺️🤍

Im fairly certain it is caused either by hud or beta. Mutator perhaps but usually BETA version has issues. Might be resolved tomorrow when BETA updates.

Regarding RUSH maps and vehicles. I used to include them. It wasnt balanced...however i have found a better way to balance them and include them in a limited degree,so hang tight,future BF maps coming.Those and these RUSH maps are going to have vehicles(as an option)

I love your maps btw! Finally someone taking care of placing spawn positions properly around capture points. I kinda wish Rush ones had vehicles tho.

Rush version of this map works fine... idk. maybe some other mutator is messing around with it.
Or for some odd reason the BF UI mod isn't compatible with this one map.

I just tested and i spawn with no issues

2 things i cannot test
1) BF HUD map. plz disable and check if you can spawn
2)BETA branch. i never heard of anyone with issues on BETA branch with this map.I cannot test

Try to see if you can load the RUSH version of this map and spawn in ok.
If i had to guess. BF HUD might be giving the issue on my map(no idea why,i just know it has custom spawn screen) between BF HUD and BETA branch,your issue may lay there but i cant test. So do as i said and report back.



ALSO 1ST TIME SPAWNING THIS MAP THERE CAN BE UP TO A 10 SECOND DELAY. MAKE SURE YOUR GIVING IT ENOUGH TIME... FOR EXAMPLE..DO YOU SEE AI SPAWN AFTER YOU CLICK? IF THEY DO AND YOU DONT THEN I CAN NARROW IT DOWN,BUT IM GUESSING THEY ARE NOT AND THE ISSUE IS YOUR NOT WAITING LONG ENOUGH OR SOMETHING IN BETA HAS BROKEN SOME MAPS.

This map is made just like all my other maps. literally no reason it would be broken if my others are ok.

Damgam When you first spawn,you havee to select a spawn point on the map(theres only one per team anyway)
The map picture is quite long so it has the spawn point circles(the ones you click) at the extreme edges of the map

check the 2nd picture in screenshots above..see the red , blue and white dots? click ravens or eagles depending on your side and it will recognise you to spawn. Again you only need to do this the first time you start a round.

This would be nothing to do with the map,and only to do with the AI in base game. They are prioritising threats / moving near cap points and thus exhibiting different vehicle behaviour. I ran hundreds of balance tests already and it works satisfactory. The map has a perfect distance in terms of both sides to all flags and no real obstructions exist that impare either side.

What you might be seeing is at start, Eagle side move down a very steep hill and are probably gaining momentum. its a very small thing and with the fact transport helis exist,shouldnt garauntee they cap middle area points first

Somehow the raven side's vehicle always seems to move in the battlefield slower than the Eagle side, which is a huge disadvantage and might be a balance issue.

This map is very good. I usually love snowy forest maps, but this one has amazing detail, a surprising first spawn point, and good vehicle placements.

Fantastic map, rush version is an incredible experience as well. If you have low fps turning vegetation off helped me a lot.

OK Guys iv uploaded the RUSH version of this map. Its pretty god damn good. plays quite differently,less vehicles,infantry focused. Iv added extra details in certain areas of map for balance and tweaked alot to make this work. Check it out and plz leave feedback.

The other issue is AI deciding to drive boats over there if they find it pathable,i dont want that.Il try find a middle ground or at least place a visible barrier but the area in question is way outside the "play area" so its not a massive issue

@Levan i do know about that wall,i did it on purpose because in the conquest version,the defending team usually drive off into that water because of the layout of the road,the nature of it being on a hill,and the fact the AI drive tanks like they stole them....the invisible colider box prevents them crashing off there.

In the RUSH version which i shall hopefully release in an hour or so,it isnt there. For conquest im leaving it in,AI wont fall in in 99% of cases and if they do they die soon after. The collider box is low to the ground so doesnt interfere with shooting or flying. Theres no way to make the player auto respawn or die in there unfortunately.

Hi, it's me again... new invisible walls problems, haha; again, in the harbor zone, in the defending team zone to be more exact, if you fall into the water for some reason, you can't neither climb for the most part, nor return to battle if you manage to find a climbeable zone; I don't know how much does it affect AI, but, if it can't be removed, I would suggest to make the water at least, in that zone, kill you so you don't have to swim all the way back or simply suicide (also, reading about BC2 skins... yay! @ERIKA-HANS will they come with multiskin?)

P.S. A bit late, but, the map works perfectly fine in EA26, even with huge loads of bots, mods and even idiotic ideas like switching the attack helo with a plane (that you can actually manage to take off with unless a bot decides to hit the flag pole)

Someone reported it works with EA26 already . Can anyone else on EA26 confirm its working there or not? its a map made using all vanilla assets in vanilla editor it SHOULD wok fine. I not im sure i can read Ravens recent post and find a way to make it compatible maybe sth changed on EA26 in past day

Guys,good news. I have secretly been testing this map in a full on Bad company 2 Rush game mode(attack/defense mode for the uninitiated,think citadel map) . It will make this map into a fight for every inch,from Attacker deployment all the way to defenders base. Early tests are awesome,and its very very reminding me of Bad company 2.

Tweaking the pathing curently to allow AI to take advantage of every covered aapproach and defenders are doing well to taking cover and defending.

Currently adjusting various capture mechanics and tweaking level design/vehicles for more balance,once done il upload a seperate version of this map for Rush mode.

I all goes well il update Caspian Border with Rush mode as a seperate map and add Rush into all BC2 maps going forward

@ERIKA-HANS As far as im aware,skins probably wouldnt need to be updated / made specific for EA26. I think the only issues that relate to the new engine and mods are animation related,so certain weapons(reload anims etc) and vehicle behaviour need updating.

Golmud railway? Good vehicle map,certainly doable within a Ravenfield setting so sure,il add it. I have 2 Bad company 2 maps to get finished first however put Port Valdez only took me a week to make so sit tight,and il draw up planning for it
