its super finnicky getting people out of the vehicles just so i can turn them in or have them train

@AggravatedAstronomer - Yes, it's more of 1.5 fixing it and giving us the option to make it work well, so all credits to Ludeon. Sadly not a feature fixed for 1.4 at all, but I suppose it's why we updated in the first place.
@Snakeater - Buffed how? It's cold protection is already near if not as high as parka and it's got a rather higher protection rating than what vanilla has for their apparel. I think it's good enough, short of being 200% bulletproof

As for CE and its effects, I don’t make patches for the mod. Have tried and failed. Unfortunately you’ll have to ask patchers in their discord or try and fix it yourself, they just do things differently and I have enough on my plate doing things for vanilla

sorry o bother you with this but can you make the masks its own slot? i tried wearing them with recon armour while using CE and it wont let me, but before using CE it did let me, seems CE changes the coverage layer of some clothes, but i still find it weird how you cant wear a balaclava under the helmet. ive seen other mods add extra slots for specific items they add so you can always have them on, thanks in advance.
Is there anything you can say regarding the theme or role they'd play narratively/mechcanically?

I think the issue is on your end, either steam sided or something else you may have enabled. Rest assured, the error has nothing to do with the mod acting up on its own.
- Balaclavas do render under helmets if worn first, but you have to be zoomed out (making it pointless cause you won't even see the aesthetic)
- If you have Camera+, the render distance for balaclavas under helmet is closer. This gave it the impression that this is how it normally works, cause I've always tested with it on, which is my bad for the oversight
It's frustrating indeed, especially when the devs chin us off about fixing these features because we're just modders with mods that aren't part of the base game. Wish they'd just sort the game and add this as a normal feature, sadly I have to dance through every hoop to make things work with duct tape.
I'll try and find a way to sort it out when possible, and I'll speak to coders, otherwise I can only update the description like you suggest. Cheers mate.
If it helps, it did not seem random, or determined by the order I put the clothing on in. It seemed deterministic between the two items. Like there's some stat, specific to that instance of the item, interacting to determine the order.
For now, the best solution for me is to use the RH1 (eg British Military Kit, RH1 Rimmunation) versions of the mods, as those don't have head items that go on the head together.
Again this is with a totally vanilla, fresh world, with only T141 and Harmony mods running. I have all the DLC active too.
The description says that balaclavas should only render over helmets when you have other mods interfering, but I've tested on a new world with only this mod (and its requirement Harmony) and if you spawn Taskforce 141 trade caravans, some of them will appear with balaclavas over their helmets.
It was happening during my proper game too so I wanted to know if there's anything I can do to fix it
With them I could finally play as a PMC faction of my own design.
Btw, my pawns love the MREs!
