None of that is true. Garry himself verified it with Nintendo. Nintendo haven't chased it because THEY DON'T chase it, a different company does that for them. The fact Nintendo content survived this long on Garry's Mod is a miracle.

I heard they were actually a troll or a group of trolls that was operating WAY before the takedown notice was ever dished out.

I heard they actually moved onto Fraymakers and started harassing people there.

No, it really was Nintendo. Nintendo outsource copyright management stuff to a different company that issues DMCA claims on their behalf, and it's not uncommon to use false names to protect people's identities as part of those notices. Aaron Peters is most likely not a real person, but he's acting on behalf of Nintendo.

Oh and if you decide to port any Nintendo assets, go on ahead and remind Garry that "Aaron Peters" is a fake-ass name and that Nintendo would've done a much better job than striking one cell of the workshop.
