MyGuyMan1 they don’t irl so I try to keep to how it is ingame unfortunately

I think that you should make the train cars doors openable all at once from the driving car

as someone who loves the 220/221 this made my day :)

@Randomguy I know this isn't my thread but there isn't really much of a way to combat this without making the train a multiple unit and powering every individual coach. Stormworks is just like that

Now I have an odd situation because my DVT and 91 reach 127MPH on their own but with just 3 carriages it limits them to 0.15 and maxes at 40mph so I dont know the solution

I was already using medium motors so I will try a gearbox to see if that improves matters, thanks

Hey Randomguy for your remastered driving van trailer I would recommend you try and downgrade in motor size. It could be you are using a large motor and the extremely high torque makes it impossible to use above 0.15. Try going for a smaller motor or fitting your drive shaft with a gearbox in conjunction with your current motor. Hopefully this should help as I had these same problems with my Class 220 in game, but the difference being is this was a multiple unit design so it had better traction effort :p.

Great quality as always! Just wanted to ask, Im remastering a DVT I found on the workshop and I have constant wheel slip when adding coaches, like 3 coaches and wheel slip at 0.15. tried adding weights but those didnt really change it, would you have any tips for preventing wheel slip? Sorry for the off topic, just couldnt find much info on it

when i saw the tumbnail i thought, "man thats a realistic train" and then i realised it was a real train

Desiros is an interesting proposal. But I’m done with train building for a bit rn. Maybe when I get back into it, I could remaster my class 158 or start fresh with another sprinter class train. That thing needs some love and it’s way dated compared to my newer builds.
GWVillager 30 Dec, 2021 @ 3:30am
Electrostars would be great to see. Desiros might translate well into Stormworks, I've built a Class 185 for my personal use and their blocky nature works well in the game.

Yeah I was following the date gaps on your HS2 build, you did take your time with it and it was a high quality build. Great job on it. Hopefully one day I can reach the level of making the likes of the networker trains or the electro stars. Now that would be a good build. Maybe with the pre made components carried over and upgraded from my previous projects I can get brand new units out the door weekly.

Ive also just updated the description for people who may not have strong gaming pc’s you can remove some of the cars before spawning it in and the train will still work, minus the cars you have removed. This will improve game performance as tested on my little brothers pc which has a R9 270x and a 4th generation I5.

4 days is quite incredible, it took me weeks to make my HS2 train. I travel on the Voyagers regularly, and as I mentioned, it is spot on. I didn't know Cross Country had a Virtual tour, it's quite extensive compared to some other ones!

Again thank you so much for the kind words, I appreciate it. I thankfully had a lot of reference material to work on for this project. With more access to material I managed to get the voyager built in 4 days with so little time needed for research. I mostly relied on the official cross country documentation with this website containing the seating plan for the super voyager (I dismissed the interior of coach D on this 4 car set) and even better, it came with a VR experience shown here. https://my.matterport.com/show/?m=ujeArrBoAfP&back=1 I’ve never actually seen a voyager irl so hopefully people who read this can tell me if I managed to bullseye this integrated livery.
GWVillager 29 Dec, 2021 @ 10:51am
I'm incredibly impressed by how accurate you've got the interiors, everywhere I look it's just precisely as a Voyager should be

Hey GWVillager thank you for the kind words. It’s a great pleasure to see you here. I too like your legendary builds with the class 325 in particular. Once again thank you <3

My word this is amazing, well done!

Hey addieladies yes your sadly correct in operating the train, this engine is loud. The real life Class 220 Voyager had a large inline 6 cylinder turbocharged engine. Due to the large power consumption of a medium motor and no turbochargers in game. I had to add way more cylinders to my engine than intended to get roughly the same power output as the real life voyager to reach 125+ mph (the real life class 220 top speed) while still keeping a really good fuel efficiency compared to the modular engines with 3x3 cylinders. The in game voyager is incredibly loud for this reason. Sorry about that!

Francis is this you?

Hey firth_sarah you will find the master switch is a lockable switch located on your right hand side in front of the reverser. Let me know if you managed to find it.
Sw4nky 27 Dec, 2021 @ 11:52am
Where's the master switch? I can't find it anywhere in the cab.
