I love this mod, use it since I know it. But some of Hunter's lines always bug me like:"I'll give you a sports chance." But recently it hit me, if tracking shot can change with his line like,
"I'll give you a sports chance." RUN.
"I'm watching you". Don't move.

That'll be very awesome, I know it probably has almost no chance to happen thao..:lunar2019smilingpig:

Just had a bizarre experience with A Better Chosen. The Hunter used tracking shot, seemingly targeting nothing(?). I move everyone and no one is shot. Start of his next turn he makes the shot, hitting nothing and no one

I'd use a grep tool (I use TextCrawler), search my Mods folder for files named XComAI.ini containing the string "chosen" then go from there.

Assuming I'm right with the AI guess, of course.

Oh, if you haven't done it in a while: clear out your user configs, it's the magic "fix 95% of mod problems" thing to do

@Dragon32 Only other thing that specifically modifies him would be A Harder War: Chosen Pack but I *think* the only conflict there would be in his loadout, which I manually smoothed over. I guess its *possible* he just had no sightlines on that map but that seems very unlikely. ABA makes some very minor tweaks to generic Chosen AI but I really can't imagine its that

Also is there a way to master search for specific things like that?

Sounds like something's changed his AI, check the mods you use with a XComAI.ini file. Aggressive Chosen makes him move towards your squad but hasn't disabled Tracking Shot for me.

Hi Largo, I see in the comments that this mod this doesn't work with hunters tracking shot like serial (ver 2) do you know what the issue is? I am looking to see if i can make a work around.

If you move, is the attack a guaranteed hit or is there the normal reaction shot penalty?

Have you tried refreshing your ini files? A lot of mod weirdness can be fixed just by doing that.

Fixed crash by commenting out the tracking shot in this mod. Must be some conflict.

My game crashes as soon as the Hunter tries to do a Tracking Shot. Anyone have an idea?
Should I try uninstalling this mod or uncomment the shot parts in the ini in the middle of a tac mission?
Anyone had a mod conflict? I run too many mods...

It still has the big arrow line to the pinned unit, and using YAF1 will show a debuff on the unit that they are marked.

Does this mod remove the visual cue for the tracking shot? I have encountered the Hunter once and didn't move the affected unit to test it (playing legend honestman) so i'm not sure if it's working or not.

Hi, thank you for this mod....this made Hunter the most dangerous Chosen and if he is the first chosen for the first retaliation mission it would become a nightmare. With his new tracking shot he can counter Templar and Reaper.

Find Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\268500\2697761263\XComGameData.ini and open it. It should contain some loadouts for the Hunter. Delete everything in it and the Hunter will revert to Bleeding Rounds.

I absolutely love the idea of this mod because IMO it just makes way more sense because, you know, TRACKING shot. This way it sounds way more meaningful than just some minor annoyance for Sharphooters. But can someone educate a noob here: as someone who's only interested in the Tracking Shot remake and wants to stick with the bleeding rounds then what exactly do I have to do? What lines to delete/alter in the ini files? I'm just afraid of bumbling around here.

Hi Lago. Great Idea , but unfortunately with my extended modded game I have created with your mod a monster. Now the hunter fires a) you move b) you do not move c) all in line of sight are targeted. this means whatever you do you are doomed. run and you get a garantied hit. take cover you get a hit . a squadwipe is the result regardless what I do. :-) I have to think about it. With a squad of 12 men armed with all stuff are not able to reach him at present.

maybe good to spend Hunter Range overwatch Ability for more than one Soldier?
or Shooting every step from outside the Range? if a Soldier has 3 fieldts to step out from range, Hunter has 3 chances to Shoot him down?

His vanilla AI is biased towards that. I considered tweaking that, but that'd break compatibility with a lot of Chosen overhauls.

Huh. The Hunter uses the same trigger as Suppression, so I'm not sure what's causing that.

Neither did, it was two different soldiers. One was a templar and another was a SPARK. I'm 99% positive none of the mods I have give either of those shadowstep.

I'm not sure this works. I had this installed and last time I finally encountered the Hunter. One round, I moved. Nothing happened. Another round, I didn't move. Nothing happened.

I actually like the idea of this - especially if your soldier is in cover. When you're not behind something is when you're most vulnerable. Just ask the WWII sharpshooters and soldiers. You hear those rounds go off and hear the ping of the bullet hitting something but cant see where it's coming from? You stay in cover until it's not safe. I'd be curious to see if there is a way to make a cover based interaction. Full cover, safe. Half cover, you have to hunker down or risk getting shot anyways. Just a thought. Gameplay wise, I love this. Hunter is my favorite - but underwhelming. This is a welcome change IMO.

the fact that a sniper wouldn't be able to (Tracking shot a non moving target is kinda stupid. what I'd suggest is that if the target doesn't move then it stays how it is in base game. if the target moves then it its how it is rn with the mod but with a slight accuracy debuff and that the only way to avoid it is to break line of sight. which makes you have to avoid open areas.

I very much doubt it. LWotC makes extensive edits of its own to the Chosen and as far as I know removes the Dazed status entirely.

@The Pineapple Lord: It almost certainly won't work with Tracking Shot Like Serial.
@BroncoXeno2035: It should work fine with A Better Chosen, but it'll probably overwrite ABC's changes to Tracking Shot. It won't inflict a permanent Will and Defence reduction for the rest of the mission any more.

Quick question, is this compatible with Tracking Shot like Serial? I know both mods edit the tracking shot but the concepts of these two can work together, so I would like to know if this tracking shot mod can be spread with Serial using both together
