Also, the mod is not compatible with Snake Mod Pack, and specifically with Ammo Maker Reloaded. There are no shell casings after the shots either in the inventory or on the ground.
Thats the spirit
That would be great - im gonna add this to the list - just need to learn how to set up hotkeys lol
If you like it use it, if you don't then don't use it really
But Tactical reload
Hotkey for reloading twice as fast as normal
BUT the magazine drops to the floor instead of returning to your inventory
Would be helpful in dire situations
The last time Hardcore reloading was in project zomboid was in Build 40 - if i remember right - the only thing wich this mod differs from that is that you can use the reloading menu to put bullets in your spare magazine - chambering also wasnt a thing back then
And the idea sounds good just would sadly require us to remake the entire mod - i might look into it in the future and release it as a seperate mod if i do~
1) How does it differ from Vanilla's hardcore weapon handling? I never used it.
The idea of the player's skills and moodlets affecting just how "hardcore" things are sounds nice though, but... since you're open to ideas :P the thing that would probably tip me over to actually use something like this is to make it so not only do your skills improve your handling of the weapon, but when your skills actually get high up there, *then* things start getting automatic, if that makes sense? Say, reaching level 10 in "Reloading" would make it so you automatically un-jam your weapon, and being level 10 in "Aiming" would automatically rack the weapon and what not. Something along those lines!
Maybe it could be a toggle option or a separate "alternate" mod, so the people that want to keep things hardcore all the time can still have it o/
We are always open for ideas ^^
Do you guys want ideas at all or is it like a more planned out thing?
