I tried this on a few L4D1 maps and it didn't spawn me with a sword. Or a pistol. I spawned empty handed and needless to say I got my bum railed by the special infected

The sword doesnt appear for me, I tried going through the map by killing things with shoving. I killed one Jockey and then encountered the witch.
You can guess how that ended.
