Spider is bad, but I think that's the point. Nevertheless, it'd be nice to see him be able to do simple combos. He could be this game's Pikachu
Wilson Wes and Maxwell I feel are perfectly fine right now. While they seem busted compared to the other characters, they're still really fun to play and have pretty high skill ceilings (Except maybe Wilson, but please don't nerf my little lad)
If you do decide to add content, then perhaps I could request some balancing ideas
Woodie's in a pretty good spot I feel, aside from his recovery. Get rid of his double jump and he just won't make it back. What I'd recommend is making it so his side special doesn't put you in free fall, like how they made it so Little Mac's side special didn't do that in Ultimate
Also wanted to say that it's inspiring to see people still here for this mod after all this time! At some point I may come back for some actual content updates, but I can't promise anything yet.
Now, in regards to learning how to mod for Smashup, Pickle has some guides out there. You can find them in the unofficial Discord. It's an intimidating prospect when starting out, I would start by getting comfortable with modding base DST; just don't be afraid to try your hand at it.
anyway glad to see that the development of the mod is still going slow and healthy
