Could you update this? I love this mod but going back to 1.12 for it is a pain, mostly becuase I want to combine it with other mods

Rexicoder 30 Aug, 2015 @ 8:33am
1.13 is here i like to get this
jamaicam  [author] 22 Jun, 2015 @ 3:48pm
Good news whatever was causing the crash appears to have been fixed by the latest patch so the mod has now been updated for version 1.12. It is also now a lot more random as I learned a bit more about how the game uses random seeds (decisions always use the same seed but on_action events do not).
jamaicam  [author] 1 Feb, 2015 @ 5:10pm
It seems something they changed in 1.8 makes this mod no longer functional. No matter what I try it just crashes. Frustratingly it has randomly worked a couple times but mostly it just crashes. I think I'm going to have to hide it from the workshop if I don't figure something out.
MattyJRaps 1 Feb, 2015 @ 11:59am
This mod keeps on crashing whenever i randomize. I think its outdated.
SmoothOperator 22 Jan, 2015 @ 1:51pm
Damn it man! This is exactly what this game should have been anyway. Pls keep up efforts to update.
Frauwyne 19 Dec, 2014 @ 3:11pm
If you have to just abandon the mod please just give it to someone else for them to develop, this is an amazing idea and I would love to see it happening.
Aldebaran 16 Dec, 2014 @ 3:31am
this mod needs update if you cant add me i can help you
AnTi_AiM 12 Nov, 2014 @ 7:14am
is this mod dead or something? i really want to play it :(
Koro 7 Nov, 2014 @ 11:02am
That's a shame I really liked your mod. I would use it + HRE to have really weird and random new emperors. :(
jamaicam  [author] 7 Nov, 2014 @ 10:59am
Actually this mod is not compatible with the new version (it crashes on unpause after a scramble) so the change was helpful as it prevents me getting a bunch of people reporting the issue I'm well aware of. Haven't been able to figure out what's causing the crash yet so I'm not sure when I'll be posting an updated version if at all.
Koro 6 Nov, 2014 @ 2:39pm
Hi jamaicam! As you may have noticed, since the 1.8 patch, Paradox has added an artificial incompatibility "test". This is probably another step in the Holy War Paradox declared on the goold old Nords. Since there is no "1.8 and below" option, old mods may never be usable again unless you fix them yourself. I don't know about you, but I'm really pissed that I can't play 90% of the mods I have right now. Just because. And as a modder, this also means I will have to spend a long time editing, loading, managing, crashing, restarting, editing the description, changing to visible. On top of that my subscribers start asking me non-stop to update when I have an actual life that's pretty demanding by itself.

To counter this, I have decided to be a disruptive little man and start sort of a revolution. Do not update your mod. Instead, upload the files to dropbox or whatever, and post this message on the description, so everyone knows that everyone is pretty pissed about this.

Thanks!

Tnx. I made USA in Africa.. and Qing in the Europe... Weirdest histories..
Justin Sellers 31 Aug, 2014 @ 9:59am
Is there any way to change it so my country stays together, not split into Massachusetts and Korea? That is my only gripe about the mod, otherwise, it is great and makes the game worth playing again. Thank you.
Exodus 22 Aug, 2014 @ 3:26pm
Bare bear, are you checking the province ID when you use the population thing. As the province IDs get swapped you need to hover over the province you want to lower and get the province code from that. It'll say in the tooltip when you hover over each province after you've enabled debug mode. If you get any more problems PM me and ill try and help :)
easte 3 Aug, 2014 @ 1:32pm
Believes that you are near your forcelimit even when you are not. Does not register unit disbanding in maintenance calculations :(
Nuliag 2 Aug, 2014 @ 5:18pm
Would it be possible for when you scramble all nations, everyone gets a free settler? Just so the colonial nations like Castille and Portugal aren't always the biggest powers in the world.
Lee King Cox 23 Jul, 2014 @ 2:01pm
Hi there Exodus, I have tried your method, but it doesn't seem to work.
I get the: "province gains -1000 population" from the console, but the population doesn't change, I tried waiting a couple o days but it stays the same.
Exodus 13 Jul, 2014 @ 4:51am
I have found a workaround for the provinces being held by rebels on the random america map.

Use the console and input debug_mode.
This brings up the province ID's for each region as they get reassigned when using the random map. Then using the province ID input

population XXX -1000 where XXX is the ID.

Continue for one day and the occupation by natives should end instantly. Hope this helps :B1:
Calzone Boi 30 Jun, 2014 @ 2:02pm
This is making me confused but ids so fun seeing where every one is
mad-mur 29 Jun, 2014 @ 11:25pm
this mod is really cool :D

I only wish previous diplomacy like vassels, ongoing wars, etc all got erased when you relocate...

When I tried as Russia, still had three vassels all over the world 0-0

Honestly, i think i would play every game of EU just with this mod if you keep making it better :)
jamaicam  [author] 26 Jun, 2014 @ 8:35pm
It's not easy to fix because there is no easy way to target non-existent countries.
Deathcap 26 Jun, 2014 @ 7:41pm
Like I've said before, when I was in europe, Champagne and Wales and the likes still had cores. Is this meant to be like this?
Felloren 25 Jun, 2014 @ 7:57am
You are making fantastic progress, and this mod is solid even in its current state. Thank you! I hope to see you continue to add on and fix the small issues. Maybe add an option to make technological advancement fair (I.E. Remove the penalties toward other non-western nations) as this may make for a much more interesting game.
Texanmiror 20 Jun, 2014 @ 5:14pm
I too can report that the distribution of the countries is not at all random, but always pretty much the same. Maybe there is some kind of internal seed involved? Maybe you could actually move the countries around over multiple steps to ensure it´s random?
Secondly, the fact that the AI gets random additional provinces even after the game started is just frustrating and thats it. It doesnt add anything, it´s just stupid.
Third, could you please add localization files? No translation needed, just the additional files.
Gtake 19 Jun, 2014 @ 9:46am
Thank you, great mod, would it be possible to add as well an opion to move your country to a particular location?
Admiralen1728 19 Jun, 2014 @ 7:40am
Ok Thanks, yes please do that! :)
jamaicam  [author] 18 Jun, 2014 @ 4:42pm
I don't understand why everyone is having such trouble figuring out how to get it to work. It's a three step process. You load as any country. You click the decision labeled "Scramble all Nation Locations" which should be right up at the top and then click the option labeled "Move all the Countries". I'll add a picture making this more clear.
Admiralen1728 18 Jun, 2014 @ 10:16am
Please write some better instructions...like part by part.. I don't know how to get it to work. Please help us! Thanks
Deathcap 17 Jun, 2014 @ 11:35pm
Countries that don't exist in the 1444 start still have cores, are you planning to get rid of this?
Cyberspacer 17 Jun, 2014 @ 7:13pm
Download Link?
all_pro 17 Jun, 2014 @ 4:24pm
it does not work help :(
Gm_Kaiser 17 Jun, 2014 @ 9:54am
Great mod, lots of fun. The only thing, playing as the Ottomans, I could only rival Venice, the Mamluks, and Poland, even though they were a million miles away. Is it possible to fix the rival system?
Nyllan, Dre 17 Jun, 2014 @ 9:52am
how to use the mod?
Belly Flop 16 Jun, 2014 @ 11:34pm
First time looking at the map I was so confused. Then I noticed I was a European country bordering to other European countries in India. I looked back at Europe and noticed that England wasn't even settled. This is great!
Fabby 16 Jun, 2014 @ 7:14pm
Nice this looks like a much better implementation of the randomizer I tried to make! Good job, I hope to play around with it soon. (And dig through the scripts to see how you managed it :-p)
Questionable 16 Jun, 2014 @ 2:20pm
First, let me say this is a great mod. Super fun so far.

I did notice one bug. I make the choice to scramble things again, but it never actually gives me the option to do so. I have to reload the game. Not a huge deal. Great mod, truly one of the best!

Rogem 16 Jun, 2014 @ 2:18pm
Can you make nations released before December 1444 get the decisions as well? I wanna play as Finland in a far-off corner :)
Scout 16 Jun, 2014 @ 1:51pm
direct download link would be nice it is the only way i can get mods i think steam is weird idk though it would be nice this mod looks awsome
Koro 16 Jun, 2014 @ 12:44pm
I found a bug. I used the CoP's random new world and scrambled all nations 2 or 3 times. Around 10 provinces in the new world are being colonized by a rebel flag, and are stuck at 1000 colonists without ever forming a nation. I think it may be related to the disappearance of nations you mentioned.

Maybe you could try adding a Decision to kill all colonies without owner, or with more than 900 colonists.
jamaicam  [author] 16 Jun, 2014 @ 11:46am
Subject nations are placed nearby for the AI, however I'm having a little trouble getting it to work right for player nations with subjects.
Jimbo 16 Jun, 2014 @ 10:47am
I think it'd be a good idea if a nation and it's vassal(s), when moved, ended up near the same location.
Nyllan, Dre 16 Jun, 2014 @ 9:04am
How to get it to work i mean
Nyllan, Dre 16 Jun, 2014 @ 9:04am
how to get if to work?
Koro 16 Jun, 2014 @ 7:20am
This is probably the best mod I have played so far. I tested it with my Dynamic HRE to generate a new HRE after the scramble, and it works perfectly. Give it a try. :)
