@Goat I sincerely hope one day you can find the passion to update this mod again. It genuinely made this game infinitely more replayable. If I knew how to mod I'd continue the development myself but unfortunately I don't. I'm almost positive that there are others that agree with me that I'd be willing to donate to you for your work if you do reconsider. Hope you're doing well

i dont really see a reason why you would abandon this, but i respect it. i have no idea how hard modding is, ive never done it myself so idk it may be really hard. This was fun while it lasted.

Sorry guys but I've lost interest. I have a C++ to convert the codes to change it to the new HOI4 standard which means less lag but I'm done with this mod. If you want to continue developing this mod, feel free to do so.

I miss the Americanized names lol. They might have been a bit out of place and some somewhat bad but i think they were really cool still. Or maybe even just a option to have them? Like when it introduces you to the mod it could ask if you would like fictional names like them and if you say yes it lets you keep them. Or maybe a second post on the workshop with the exact same mod but with them? Either way this is a amazing mod and i really like it regardless!

I personally think you should add back the Americanised names. They weren't the greatest but they were a nice touch.

I just noticed this phenomenon after checking through each of my mods after fixing my game that this mod prevents my game from loading after "Initializing Game" even after waiting 10 minutes. It is strange because I was sure that this mod was working previously but now it isn't anymore. And it seems I am not alone in that. Can the developer find out why that is the case?

this mod has caused me to reinstall hoi4 twice check every mod I installed and i had to turn my computer off only to restart it because I couldnt do anything however the premise of the mod is great and I believe that with some patches it can be fixed wo I give it a 5/10 because of that

@donald.grape unlike modern russia, which isn't necessarily against soviet legacy, the democratic russia here would have rose from a war with the communists, it would make sense for them to erase all commie legacy then

Edit: I rephrase that: In real life, Russia has Kaliningrad and Kirov and in this mod it has Nevskygrad and Vyatka. Could you change to the real world names of these cities?

@Ness Scissors Yeah, AAT messed up the mod real bad. I've been considering on reworking the entire mod but the problem is well... there's like 6000+ or so entries for the names and I've had the help of a tool to help me work more efficiently, only a few time I would actually need to go to the mod files to do add something the tool otherwise doesn't provide (like Ideologically-dependent names). Reworking the mod might take a while plus I've yet to learn how TNO/Kaiserreich does their naming system. If you have any ideas how, maybe you could help me figure it out.

Either way, the only way to fix the problem would need to be a total rework of how the names are applied to states and provinces to make the scripted effect files somehow more streamlined

@Goat, My mod NHIP uses a similar or the same system, the problem is the scripted effects that make the states change their names per language, the game loads them much slower after AAT for some reason now.

Deleting some of the less important ones is an (admittedly less than ideal) way of making it better for those with systems that can't handle loading all that stuff at once.

Also, I don't know if you know how Scripted Localisations work, but TNO has a system that functions like what this mod does that uses those, and it seems to cause fewer loading issues on the whole. I've thought about adapting the system in my mod along those lines, but my mod is a historical overhaul and that's a minor cosmetic feature, so it's just easier to delete some of the language groups for me, but if you're working on a project that specializes in it, it might be worth looking into.

Glad someone is keeping this kind of project going!

@Alaska Unfortunately after AAT DLC, it started to freeze during the loading time.I have no idea what's causing it, but waiting for it to load works best (most of the time)

it causes my game to freeze on exactly 50% loading, i can wait hours and it still wont function. it used to not do this
