I won't be able to update for a few weeks. The game's not working for me (infinite loading) and after today I will be without internet for a few weeks. If anyone would like to use my mod as a basis for an update (it's not that difficult, you'll just need to modify sandbox.xlsx's 'Tasks' sheet) then feel free. I give my express consent for anyone to do as they wish with this.

If not, I'll be able to update it some time in early November. Bit of unfortunate timing with the update.

19D Rooster has no idea what hes talking about. It has worked for me ever since i downloaded it. On a side note i hope you get this mod updated to the current version quickly nirkbirk. I really enjoy using your wonderful MOD.

Thank hell you have no clue how to create an actual mod that works that much is obvious!!! Geez maybe learn something from the community that does mods for Star Wars Empire at War because you sure as heck need practice big time because this so called "mod" does absolutely NOTHING!!!

i think that this a know bug if i remeber right living uboat maybe modifie some of the same thing as this mod so you can't really ues living uboat with this mod

Hi, the mod works perfectly with vanilla and UBE , not the same with LIVING UBOAT (131). I tried several times even refreshing save games. Any help ...?

Hi, the mod absolutely does work as many other people are able to use it without issue. If it's not working for you it must be related to your install. Do you have any other mods installed? What version are you running?

Not working. Fresh vanilla install, enabled the mod, researched KDB T1 hydrophones, and it says 47 days 23 hours.
Loaded some torpedoes which took a couple days, and my radioman is still unavailable.

Yes you can absolutely create a mod that does that. Take a copy of Sandbox.xlsx from your game's Data Sheets folder and remove everything except the snorkels line, then change the 'Unlock Date' field to what you want it to be.

Then all you need to do is create a mod from the game's launcher and fill out the form. Then just stick your Sandbox.xlsx in the Data Sheets folder of the mod and load it with your game like any other mod.

Sorry to hear this brodog. You've tried loading this mod after the more officer spaces mod? I was very careful to modify only the absolute required parts of the game files and nothing more to maximise compatibility.

i have discovered one of the mods im using that im positive is the one to give me more officer spaces is making it so this mod doesnt work.... i dont like choosing between mods that i like

Doesnt work. If i start a new Game my boat will spawn in the middle of the ocean with my whole crew still in port :D

Hi @Malikyte. You'll need to load it 'lower' in the list. The ones at the top are loaded first and the ones at the bottom are loaded last.

@nirkbirk By "load after" do you mean higher in the list or lower? I'm not 100% sure whether UBoat uses ascending or descending load order when it comes to which mods will overwrite which files.

Hi athenian. Some commenters have reported that it doesn't work with living uboat. There is no definitive list though. If you make sure to load this mod after others and start a new game, you should be fine, mostly. I've made sure to only change the exact entries I needed to in order for the research to work to make it as compatible as possible.

Delete cached files before starting new game: Delete files, not main folders.
Replace "Shack" with your windows profile name.

If you see my post on "Slot Machine - Add extra slots to your sub", you will see that I actually loaded Instant Research first and it still worked fine.

Indeed mod load order can be a factor in troubleshooting an issue. However, clearing cached files, re-validating game files & starting a new game has been the best action for solving issues for me. I test a lot and enjoy the game without having a need to complete it now and call it done. In fact, I hope it continues to improve without leaving "Early Access" for a long time.

Have fun with UBOAT people and please don't be in a hurry to finish and put it away!

Thanks for the info, Shack! Sorry to anyone else having issues. All I can recommend is that you load Instant research as late as possible in your mod load order, start a new game, and if that doesn't work, try validating your game cache

Better Dive Times is outdated. Did you mean Better Dive Times 2? I play with that mod and it works fine with mine. Not sure about More Officers on Board. I've checked and it doesn't change any of the same entries as my mod does so there shouldn't be incompatibility there.
