I feel the gothic roster is too cavalry and archer focus, which is not ideal when taking or defending cities.
Playing as the ERE the Slavs camped out in Dacia and did nothing for 20 turns after the Avars moved in, then crossed the Danube and died to a single legion. Would help if you had two different Slav factions there (1 in Ukraine and 1 in the Balkans). Call them East and West slavs. Same with the Avars, Sarmations, and Bulgars.
Last an emergent Rashiyad Caliphate would be awesome! Love the mod please come back to it.
Oh, I also made one small tweak to give the ERE a selection of Gothic infantry and Cav. Felt appropriate considering the Goths have comitanses.
P.s. I love what you did with the Ostrogoths! Such a great idea setting the game during the 6th century!
Can only happen within Italy or anywhere and only from the Roman Empire or any other faction?
Also, is it me or the regions of Hispania or Gaul seemed to have been a victim of a Tetris game, they seem "on top of each other" quite funny design tbh
This is my favorite BI mod. Not sure this mod is still being updated, so here are some (admittedly uncertain) answers:
Yes the mod works. No, it isn't finished. It's not stable, the new unit cards are mostly peasants, and for a while it crashed on me every 3 turns. Now it's stable for hours. No idea what changed. Probably not compatible with many other mods tho. Lack of stability is a legit complaint, and also if you're stubborn enough it'll probably work eventually.
I know there are 3 Romanic Re-emergent factions 1) Western Roman Rebels
2) Eastern Roman Rebels
3) Romano-British (of the right conditions are applied and that WRR and ERR still live)
For me it crashes periodically, and there are some unit card icon issues.
Personally, I prefer the Vibrant color scheme - I think it goes well with the graphics capabilities of R:TW, so if you wanted to make the unit skins compatible with Vibrant, that would be awesome!
If you want another fun content idea to go with the "Ruins" vibe, I think this is a good time period for the White Huns/Hephthalites. I know the map isn't quite wide enough to work perfectly, but to start you could give them a few non-historical provinces, a few army stacks, and a re-skin of the Vanilla BI Huns. It could give a sense of existential dread to anyone playing as either the Armenians or the Sassanids/Persians/Iranians
You should make the regions to connect each other as pieces of a puzzle, not as brick in a wall. But that's just a small detail. Overall, the mod is very good.
