you don't see that too often.. glad to see an update though, will have to create some new AI empires, humanoid 03 was always a favourite of mine
Stripping everything but the humanoid_16 custom_portraits block from the 99_xenotype_species_classes_overwrites file seems to solve all problems. Haven't tested extensively though.
Because PDX released remastered humans before we managed to, it's an area we no longer think needs immediate attention and it'll be abandoned for the moment. Instead, the next portrait will be one of the Necroids. While the future is uncertain and we can't make any promises, we hope to begin working again sometime after the holiday season slows after New Year's.
Xenotype should still work fine with 3.6, which is why I haven't been in any rush to push an update. If anybody encounters any issues, however, please report them and I'll take a look. Otherwise, I'll run the game sometime and update the number if everything checks out.
