In previous testing, this rendered the game unstable and prone to crashing.
On top of that, the whole multiplayer function was disabled, since the files didnt match.
( This issue also occurred when both parties had the modified core package )
During the development of "CANDY" the game received a handful of updates, that majorly impacted and in some cases reset the progress already done.

I appreciate the feedback, and Id like to thank all the people who actively used / still use my mod.
This was released over 2 years ago now, and since then my situation drastically changed.
Unfortunately I dont have the same amount of free time anymore, and grim it might be, but my attention is needed elsewhere.
For now, I cant say when I will release a new update, but I still didnt give up on my old hobby.

"Running off" is a bit too strong use of words here. This mod, in its current state is still functional. I do admit to the lack of updates and new features in this mod, but Id also like to point out, that the mod was fixed in every instance where an upcoming game update broke it.

The core package "CANDY" as I previously mentioned was indeed in development, at the time it was announced, and was continued for a brief amount of time.
Although the time of writing, the core package is not available and predictably wont ever be.

First of all, a core package is a resource of Barotrauma that cant be changed easily.
Doing so, would require a lot of changes to the game itself.

If the devs really did remove the ability to change body sprites https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2943709529 this mod probably wouldn't work either. i think this "Candy" was just an excuse to not update the mod when they changed the way the body sprites work and run off...

Looks good! However. I found only one issue. The male replacement/replacements don't seem to exist, and the only mod I have that COULD replace models would be Improved Husks.

Move the mod on top of the load order, or disable any other mods then re-enable one by one to see which overwrites Bee Torpedo.

For some reason the texture for the crew does not appear for me, they are stil human

tbh ya got most of my intrests aside from avali but they a bit of a weird one to do and in a game like this unless you can somehow still make em a crew replacement but have them a offset hight (they often 4FT i think augmented to fit into housing of larger races) but their wings also are just big making them not really worth much intrest for this kind of game but, hm may as well throw in a feline into the roster as im realising ya dont got any cats.

I've published 3( +1 ) updates last month for this mod. And 2 updates for my other mod, EmptyFork.
Of course, I'm planning to make more, but my time is somewhat limited. You can give me ideas about what kinds of species should I add, and youd like to see appear.

Of course. I just stopped updating the mod until the release of Barotrauma 1.0
The devs made a couple changes how the models work in previous versions, and Im convinced after 1.0 there will be no such big changes. So I dont have to redo all my work again
