Kiruka's LWOTC Class Overhaul

I'm enjoying this mod so far! I feel like my soldiers get more appropriate XCOM decks than they did in vanilla, and the way that the skills have been arranged on each tree forces me to think about what to select each time a soldier levels up. I often select abilities based on what XCOM perks are available to a given soldier, meaning that each of my rebels feels unique.

I did make some adjustments to suit my own taste. In those few cases where an ability is an "auto-pick," I decided that it was core to the class, and moved them to the Squaddie rank. So, for example, my Assaults have Lightning Reflexes at Squaddie, and my Technicals have Fire in the Hole there as well. Other abilities have been slotted into the tree to replace these.

The fact that Kiruka's mod is so easily configurable allowed me to do this quickly and easily, which is another big point in its favor. Overall, an excellent mod. Many thanks to the author for providing it for us!

Hey! Really love your overhaul. Been playing LWOTC with it, but got kinda tired of LONG and time-consuming things in mod. Got back to WOTC, but still wanted to play with your mod. So, can you please tell me, how do I convert this to regular WOTC? I'd be very grateful...

@jackito You're gonna have to be more specific than "does not work". I just checked the classdata for the Shinobi, and it's assigned to secondary weapon and it's the correct ability template name, and I've seen tons of Twitch streams where Burial Blade itself works fine.

Burial Blade(Shinobi 3 Tier) does not work. Check please. It depends Mitzruti's Perk Pack or your file. i tried to fix it but unsuccessfully.

I recently saw that the "Pharmacist class" (original from Favid) has been ported to the proficiency class system. I think it could be a great addition to LWOTC as well as Mod Jam, especially in view of the recent release of a ghost template for the stim gun.
Did you think about transposing the pharmacist class into LWOTC ? Any chance to convince you it would be a good idea ?

This has Shadow Ops Perk Pack as a requirement, which has the following requirements:
- [WOTC] LW2 Classes and Perks
- [WOTC] New Promotion Screen by Default
- [WOTC] LW2 Secondary Weapons
Do I have to ignore these requirements as I already have LWOTC, or how do I handle them?

Thanks for the help it turns out that my faction overhaul folder was missing which is where the ability lives, re downloaded LWOTC resolved the problem. Cheers :)

@Jess This mod doesn't make any changes to Disabling Shot's Localization. The only Localization changes are to the classes' ability row names. I guess what you could do is copy and paste the Disabling Shot Localization from LWOTC into Shadow Ops LWOTC's Localization file. See if that works.

@Jess Disabling Shot is an ability native to LWOTC. Are you sure it's active in your load order?

Hey ive got an issue popping up in some of the perk trees. Disabling shot in the Technical has error "Missing 'LocFriendlyName' for Disabling shot. Any ideas whats caused this?

Sooo many tasty changes here!
While I agree that Lightning Reflexes was crowding out other skills, I also think that this is the *defining* assault skill and would rather it be moved to Squaddie -- as it's basically the defensive equivalent of the Ranger's Light 'Em Up

I assume since LWOTC if a required mod this rework is only for those wanting to play LWOTC with a class rework. Your statement that this could be converted to function with regular WOTC reinforces this idea, but I wanted to confirm that this is exclusively a class mod for LWOTC and not just another way to get different classes into WOTC. Might be the game in general that bugs me, but when you use respecselectedsoldier on a soldier not all spend AP is given back, if you have the option to train multi skills on.

I just tried a few missions after the conversion. I don't have a grenadier yet, so I did not face the issue mentioned by 4rrakis. But the conversion went very smoothly and the new sets of perks are indeed very interesting.
This overhaul is indeed a very good idea.

Thanks for the new mod Kiruka! Bug report: The grenadier's XComClassData config is missing some ',' to make the new squaddie perks actually show up.
