This mod is my favorite for l4d2, besides the Vox vocalizer. It fits almost perfectly. Especially if you play a map like Cold Stream, where it's very woodsy.

yeah, that would be nice to have the option but, since they use different models entirely now, that still likely wouldn't work unless offline or hosting, just like the bandaid fix mentioned earlier and as it is right now, mods just need to be fixed or 2 separate mods need to be made, one for l4d1 models and one for l4d2 models.

i know jr gaming but its useful if ur a host but if left 4 dead 2 adds a thing to toggle or not toggle left 4 dead 1 zombies in left 4 dead 1 campaigns does that sound like a good update for left 4 dead 2?

also, those script errors your getting are because it doesn't work online, the mod changes the games script to call on the models from l4d2 while playing l4d1 maps but, making script changes while playing online don't not work right and will, more often than not, break the game. technically if you host you can force the mod to work online as everyone else should be forced to use whatever script you have active but, that doesn't always work and, you can't always host. the mod you suggest is a bandaid fix, the only permanent fix would be if Splinks fixed the mod.

that's not how that works, local is for people on the same internet as you, that's why it's local, kinda useless when I'm trying to play with people on the other side of the country. some people have fixed their mods since the update like the Krotchy Boomer mod for example, it's totally possible, Splinks just has to be willing to do it.
