getting "sync error" every time we load into the opening cinematic

Single player is technically possible, but extremely difficult. It's designed for multiplayer.

Sleepy Wuff I uploaded those edited scenarios so you can play as different heroes, including Amazon, while being player 1. Didn't get to test all of them out, but I believe they are in working order. Enjoy.

Just realised that gold comes from leveling up, which is not a great esign decision when playing alone. you get to the ultimate level faster than you are supposed to and then the gold stops, meaning you have to think carefully about what you want as you can't get anything else.

Also, i'm not sure why, but i just stopped getting gold from killing enemies after i actually got to the town.

But i swear reinfire says that she regenerates health during the character description.

Sleepy Wuff, there is a way to do that. It is too complicated to explain everything that needs to be done here, but it involves messing with a lot of triggers in the game. I've fully converted the Amazon to be the default player 1 before but don't have the file anymore. That being said, this may be something I decide to take up. Check back in over the next month and maybe I can get something done so player 1 can be other heroes. Also, you can't self heal even if you're Amazon, but any player can buy priests in town for cheap.

Is there any way to play this as anything other than the warrior? I want to play as the amazonian so I don't have to go back to town to be healed every minute, but I have no idea how to change the player layout in the editor or really anything like that. Even going into the editor and testing as player 6 doesnt work, as I can't control the difficulty settler to actually start the game.

I've never heard of that happening ginokroon, no idea what could be causing it besides internet troubles. I doubt it's because of the download though.

When it downloaded, no problems.
Now if im in the Game Lobby after 5 minutes it disconnects..

Well, turns out using him as a bait for the doom giant wasnt that good as an idea :/

If the gatekeeper dies the trigger to unlock the gate may screw up, can't remember. You're supposed to give him the gold cart, if you do that and it doesn't work then I'd probably blame letting the gatekeeper die.

pbxellos you need to change the triggers in editor, not the player data. It can take up to a couple hours to change everything necessary in the triggers and is too complicated for me to explain here. The hosting setup is in the description above, just host publicly on the game list and leave the non-CPU slots open.

ive tried to change it in the editor so that i could play all the char. but the player data dosnt seam to change anything where else do i have to edit. also how do i set up for a host game, since it is in the single player mode.

Characters aren't changeable in game due to the triggering, unless you were to go into editor and change the triggers then save an alternate version.

killedulol I've never completed it by myself from start to finish. The game is designed for a team. It would be very difficult solo. At a certain point later in the game, and if you have a high enough level, it becomes plausible to carry on by yourself if your teammates die or quit, though.

Yes, I've tested it single player and it worked. Have you tried hosting from the main scenario folder, not the mods file path? The only way I could replicate the main menu crash was if I didn't have the .scx in the main scenario folder.

i discovered the glitch first go to editor and open the map then save it using other name like rpg map 1 and play it online

Ok I just figured out why it is doing this, I think...I tried hosting through the subscribed mods folder and it worked fine, then I tried taking out the .scx from the scenario folder while hosting through the subscribed mods folder and I replicated the main menu crash thing.

I believe you must have the .scx file in the game's main scenario folder to host properly. Try copy/pasting the .scx file in the mods folder to the main scenario folder. Someone test this out and tell me if it works, if so I'll leave instructions for this on all my scenario mods. If you don't know the path file, here: Copy Doom Lords RPG.scx from the first path and paste it in the second.

This is the only file necessary. By single player do you mean offline or online with computer allies? I've tried this offline through the playtest part of the editor, online alone, and online multiplayer but never had the crash described. Maybe I will try uploading another version of the game. I don't believe Steam lets me add files to this one and I don't want to drop it since so many people have already subscribed. I'll try and get it done by end of today.

i think ive found out it simply wont run from the single player scenario menu u have to run it from multiplayer for some reason :/

im getting the same as blind guard its not really a crash tho is there another file needed to use ur mod cause when we go to the scenario screen and try to load the scenario it just puts us back to the main game screen maybe were tring to start it up wrong or something

I'm not sure what to say, I've tested it online by myself and with other human players multiple times and it's worked fine. I don't know what could be causing your crash.

Not working for me. Whenever I try to load the scenario it just dumps me back at the main menu.
