@Rovan - Viera do have a custom fertility curve. The female fertility curve in vanilla peaks at age 28, drops to half by 35, then tapers off to zero by age 50. Female viera peak at 28, drop to half at 105, then taper off to zero at 150.

In hindsight, the peak value of 28 should probably be adjusted upwards, but the rest of the curve is in line with a tripling of the vanilla curve.

Not sure if this is possible, but would you be able to change how fertility scales age-wise for Viera? I'm not sure what you set as their maximum age, but based off of my last playthrough I think they're using vanilla fertility scaling, so I had a 175 year old Viera at 0% fertility. Granted, this was a sample size of one.

I have [NL] Facial Animation mod, will this also work on Viera Race? I was never fan on vanilla "black dots" instead of eyes.

@Best Girl Marian - Alternatively, if you are using Ideology, you can customize body addons of HAR races at the styling station since 1.4.

@Best Girl Marian - Have you tried Pawn Editor? Character Editor has had many issues with mod compatibility in the last few years and honestly is no longer recommended, especially for HAR races.

I love this mod, ty for the effort, but I'm getting an error with double and even triple ears showing up when trying to set the race properly with hair color and style in Character Editor. Sometimes getting random gens with double ears too. Uninstalled all mods except this and the editor and it's still happening. Adjusting settings adjusts each set of ears as a group. Any suggestions or help?

@xkp92110(orick) - That's strange, I do not mess with apparel layering in any way with any A Rim Reborn race, so I don't know why just one of them would have apparel layering issues. Are you getting any errors and/or do you have a log I could look at?

There may be a bug regarding viera wearing face masks, in my latest game I've had 2 put on 20+ masks. No other race did that.

@Enlonwhite - Erin has an excellent standalone version of viera, with just the race and absolutely nothing else. I'd definitely look into that if you're into something a little more lightweight than A Rim Reborn. :)

Bug: Headgear worn by Viera are visible on the pawn. As all know, headgear magically becomes invisible when worn by Viera or Hrothgar.

Just in case anyone is confused, this is a joke.

@MercuryRiver - Hi! I'm sorry to hear that, but looking at the mod in question, it seems they didn't make their bodies compatible with vanilla body shapes, so they constitute completely separate body types.

Unfortunately, in order to fix this on my end, I would effectively have to rewrite the entire mod from the ground up and release a "Lite" version of every race, since this isn't an issue that can be reasonably fixed via mod settings. Apologies for the inconvenience!

Could you possibly add a way to disable apparel/the apparel restrictions for all these races (except lalafell)? I love the art, but I have a different body type (imozou) so they don't fit. I tried removing just the clothes with cherry picker, but rather than using vanilla clothes instead, the pawns all just spawn nude.

@Dicksmash Turbofist - Hi! This is a known issue with the 1.3 pawn rendering cache. I have a potential fix for it in an upcoming update, but if you are using the Vanilla Framework Expanded mod, you can disable the pawn render cache, which will fix it for the time being. You can also use HD Pawn Rendering for the same effect. Apologies for the inconvenience!

@Rob Bobbert - Thank you for asking! I do not personally use any facial animation mods so I don't know what's involved in making a race mod compatible with them. If you know of any resources on how to do this (or if anyone wants to make an external patch), then it would be greatly appreciated!

ah okay so it works with other hair mods. got it.
i have just tested it mid game in terms of factions. (wich i got around 15 of them). it works Perfectly sofar :)
already had an event with a viera joining my colony.
having around 30 ish mods active too so you did a solid job on it, Kudo's

@rayman3120 - Viera use normal human hairstyles, all of the hairs shown in the previews were not made by me but you can find a collection with all the hair mods I use .

As for the race itself, it should be safe to add to a game mid-save, though you will need something like Faction Discovery or Vanilla Framework Expanded in order to add the factions mid-save.

can this race be added to an existing game in regards to hairstyles etc?
and are the hairstyles Viera ONLY? or can they be given to humanoid characters as well?

@Grandblaze did you add the Viera to an existing save? New items added mid-game aren't added to recipes, allowed diets, or allowed in inventories even if they would be by default. You'll have to enable it manually.

Hey, Viera Meat cant be eaten or making meals with. Colonists accept it as meat, e.g. deliver it to prisoners and slaves but they cant eat it automatically or make auto meals with it, is it only me?

@Phant0m5 - ARR races inherit all recipes from regular humans, so any vanilla or modded bionics that work on humans should also work on them. The attachment for their ears are also the human ear, so while it's not super realistic, installing a bionic ear or modded variant would restore a lost ear to a miqo'te or viera. There is no replacement for tails yet, but that is on my list to fix eventually. :)

Question about the ARR race mods and prostheses. I don't see any new bionic options, so are they compatible with vanilla prostheses? Or modded ones?

Do we need your Eccentric Angels: Cosmetics mod to replace our adorable Viera or Miqo'te ears?

@RedPine - Are you using Faction Blender or another mod that modifies faction membership? In my test modlists, Eorzean colonists do not appear in the vanilla scenarios whatsoever. As for the meditation type, I'm assuming this has to do with Royalty psycasting, but quite honestly even if that were the case, I'm not sure it makes sense for Eorzeans to be able to use psycasts so I'll consider whether I want to enable this or not.

As for the ears, yes, two of the ear types are very long and will clip out of the pawn caching boundaries. Unfortunately, there's nothing I can really do about this other than recommend using either VEF's settings or HD Pawn Rendering to disable the pawn render cache; this is a problem that affects a lot of HAR race mods.

This is even if your starting tribals are human. If your tribals are eorzan, the odds of having natural meditation are even lower.

In addition, a minor graphical nitpick: WonT02 ears on the Average head, female body, results in the top of the ears being clipped due to being too tall to fit in the colonist window.

If you start a tribal game, with tribal colonist, and roll random backstories, you have ~8/10 odds that the backstory will be firekeeper, bully, vengeful child, etc - tribal backstories that unlock natural meditation.

If you start a tribal game with this mod installed, there are 8/10 odds that the backstory will be cabin girl, server, etc - Eorzan backstories that do NOT unlock natural meditation.

With this mod installed, my tribal start generates backstories which frequently lack natural meditation focus. Usually this is the backstories from this mod, applied to vanilla human colonists. Student Scribe is one such example.

It's easy to reroll during embark, but it is something that slightly and unexpectedly nerfs tribals found out in the world.
