Can not get this to make stellite idk whats going on, have always used this set up with no issues
litekoala 10 Sep, 2024 @ 6:37am
does anyone know if this will work for normal furnaces?
Wiloxe 22 Jul, 2023 @ 6:56am
Since the new update I've been having issues getting high enough temprature for the Stellite alloy to form :/

where can I find the Script?

Is this still working?

does it work with turbo pumps aswell?

Yes, fully assembled and encased and all the pipes are insulated that are within the base (it's built 'indoors' not in a vacuum).

Thanks for the offer of having a look, I'll message you when I'm going to be in-game and uninterrupted for a while, if you're about, I'd really appreciate you hopping on. I'll publish it to the workshop too, that might be another option. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

@Squeaks, when I say built inside a frame, I mean is the frame fully assembled. If it looks like the last 3 images that I have at the top, then you need to just finish welding up that frame so that it insulates the furnace.

Step 9. Weld up the frame that is encasing the furnace so it is entirely encased. You don't want the furnace loosing heat to the surrounding atmosphere, encasing it in a frame prevents this.

If it is enclosed / insulated, try hitting me up to join your game so we can figure out what the cause is.

@Squeaks, Is your furnace built inside a block or a vacuum, and are the connecting pipes insulated? If not, it might be that the furnace is cooling off quicker than it can bleed the pressure off.

It sounds like it's working correctly, but it's loosing heat quicker than normal. It has to build up the heat by combusting fuel, which also increases pressure, but once the temp is good, it should be able to drop the pressure without loosing much heat.

If you like, I can try and jump in Mulitplayer with you and check out your setup sometime. Add me if you'd like.

This is a great script, thank you for updating it, much more straightforward than most of the other advanced furnace setups and with really clear instructions too.

I'm having an issue with producing Stellite though. By the time it gets up to temp, the pressure is too high, so it pumps out the gas to reduce pressure and the temperature drops, so it pumps in more fuel to increase temperature, but this pushes the pressure up again, and it goes around in a loop.

I thought that if the target temp for stellite was a lot higher, it'd still be in the right range as the pressure comes down, but looking at the IC code, I have no what to put in to try this out. Do you have any suggestions?

I've updated the code to fix the small bug of super alloys popping out as reagent sometimes. Tested with all metals/alloys.

That's fine. I'm still quite a ways off from getting that far on my new save. Don't want to rush a great ic10 like this it's definently in my use every save bucket. One word of advice for the revamp tho, add a 2-3 second delay before it ejects things after it reaches the correct alloy temp.

I was having the problem of it ejecting things early and geting reagent mix and that helped solve it.

@Maty, Been a while since I played, I'm sure the new update broke some things. I'll try to fix it when I get some spare time.

@Talia, it should work just fine, aside from it currently being broken.

Would this work with gasses below 20c? i have a super cold atmosphere.
MATY4578 7 Jul, 2022 @ 9:13pm
Use this in every play through. After the last update, doesnt seem to work for the super alloys, trying to make inconel and the furnace is not operating to get to pressure.

@Noaga, You're very welcome!

Hello? This is so easy to do. Thank you for this one.

Hello Naxster, as I said I'm a big noob and I jus forgot to setup the chipset with conected elements and didn't setup coolant pump with correct value. no more error thank you for you help and great mod.
Naxster  [author] 20 Jan, 2022 @ 6:40pm
@alley_cat, If you want to publish your save to the workshop, I will take a look at it.
Naxster  [author] 20 Jan, 2022 @ 6:39pm
@alley_cat, Not a lot of info to go off there, but my guess is maybe you forgot to set the inputs to the correct devices. If the inputs are set correctly, try turning off the IC Housing, remove the Chip, then re-insert the chip and turn the housing back on.

Hello I try your mod for the furnace and the display. I can make the display to work but for the furnace I have an error on line 16, I don't know about the langage and I'm a noob with stationeers.. I don't understand as there is no error on your demo map. I also tried the fuel IC but have an error on line 4. If you could help it will be nice. (sorry for my english not my native langage)

Those are just "Kit (Sign)"s that you make in the autolathe. https://stationeers-wiki.com/Kit_(Sign)

Have it all up and running! Have tested with both steel and inconel so far and working great! Instructions were quite easy to follow so good job there and all around. My only question is, what are those screens showing the alloy recipes in your setup? I can't find anything that I think are them either in game or on google :P

Thanks again for the great work!
Naxster  [author] 15 Jan, 2022 @ 6:40pm
@Rawblin You're welcome. I still recommend building a frame over the furnace even on the moon, as I believe the moon environment will still suck heat out of the furnace. (Otherwise, how would pipe radiators work on the moon?) Good luck, and enjoy!
Rawblin 15 Jan, 2022 @ 1:45pm
About to give this a go on a Lunar playthrough. Currently sitting at an unupgraded furnace just on the surface in vacuum. Have to go about making some fuel and figuring out how to set this up, but hopefully it launches me directly into endgame and doing whatever I like. Thanks for the work you did!

@Lindburg It's up now :)
