I Recommend getting the Civ 5 Texture Pack and placing the map on cold settings so that it still has alot of moon dust (tundra) around the map for more realism.

@SilverFG : Sometimes putting one own's spin on a map can be quite literal... Stay tuned for a Baltic Sea map :)

Yeah i can see the problem of making it original, it's hard enough to come up with original Civ ideas at times so i can't imagine how hard it would be to put your own spin on maps

@SilverFG : There are already some nice looking maps of those regions, so maybe they would not be a high priority for me, but I've always wanted to do a map of the Baltic Sea region: I just need to put my own spin to it so as not to repeat what other map-makers have done :)

Ah awesome, then i would like to suggest a Caribbean map, always thought it would be an amazing Naval map, or a Denmark-Sweden map, which would be a nice North vs South map.

@SilverFG : Thank you! All these maps I've done are just my ideas at the time, but if you have some map ideas that you want me to do, I can add it to my long to-do list (no guarantees though) :D

just out of Curiosity do you take requests for maps or do you just do what ever you like?
All of your maps have been awesome so far and i hope you keep them up.
