I agree with Shitler's, i haven't tried it out yet because my game crashes when i get on, so it might of already been done, but if not that's a cool idea, i know some ww2 mod managed to do that

Instead of them using whatever weapons the game chooses to spawn them with, why not use the makeshift weapon packs? They pretty much have everything you'd expect a raider to carry into battle. This is all assuming Ranger Rick says it's alright to use his assets.

@Fru Currently I'm trying to /somehow/ Whitelist the Cannibal traits with Raiders but I might just make it so that certain raiders are guaranteed to spawn with the Cannibal and Psychopath traits

Do the Raiders have addictions, or traits like cannibal / psychopath? In case you happen to capture them.

@getfreur Thanks! And yup! I do plan on creating a Children of Atom and Super Mutant faction mod sometime in the future.

@Fru I just tagged Royalty and Ideology as Required, to be safe, but I can remove any hard requirements in the code. While I haven't considered it before, I can add some more neutral Wasteland-themed factions to the world, great suggestion! At the moment, only human raiders show up in the raiding parties and on base-defense, but I'll work to add more creature variety in the form of attack dogs, bears, and Wargs to the spawn pools. Super Mutants are planned in another Unofficial Addon but minus the FEV and conversions because I have no idea on how to implement them via C#. On the topic of placing effigies and such, I might be able to do something like that... I'll have to look into it. I'll definitely look for ways to include Raider settlement and spawn location variety and what they bring outside of just using FCP gear

I assume that this includes Raider settlements. Do those include unique features taken from the FCP mods? Like the buildings using the shack tileset? Perhaps things like Raiders inhabiting ruined Vaults or military bunkers when their settlements spawn on mountain tiles (that could even be just a generic thing for any settlement, not just Raiders).

In fact I wonder if there's a mod out there already that includes more custom Faction base types. Instead of just being some buildings a base that looked more like a pre-war settlement could be nice. I.e. a base built around an old refinery, car park, city streets, etc. I know there's a mod out there that has maps spawn as ruined cities, though there's always ways that could be expanded.

What about having Raiders apply graffiti to the map during raids? There's a mod out there that has pawns graffiti your base when they have low mood. Having Raiders do the same as they hang about could be a thing (similar to in certain raids the attackers will choose to remain in place and make defences). You could perhaps include assets from the Effigy mod or Beastmen mods which add things like heads on sticks or place pawns on spikes as a further way of showing them establishing their territory / intimidating your colonists prior to a raid.

Oh, and suggestions. In its current guise is their an emphasis on animals being used by Raiders? Hostile animals aren't something I've seen much during raids. So a group bringing along a few dogs would be interesting. Perhaps include content from other mods for more mutated animals?

Do Ghouls, Super Mutants and Robots appear with the Raiders if you have the relevant mods installed? Perhaps even going so far as to include compatibility patches for those mods and including custom skins for the Robots would be great.

Oh, and with there being so many mods out there - is there a possibility for further faction mods? Perhaps Mercenaries using the Merc armour mod + combat armour mods? Neutral wastelander factions - for the sake of having factions + settlements that use the FCP assets exclusively, rather than the hacky system we have with generic factions?

Regardless, the Community appreciates this mod! :)

Ooh, neat! Some of the Fallout Faction mods out there are long out of date - and with the current big Fallout project still a WIP its felt like Faction implementation is still a ways off. This may certainly beat my own alternative - which has been to use the factions from Westerado as an alternative to Wasteland Factions.

I assume that Royalty and Ideology are hard requirements? Tsk, guess I'll have to wait for those to go on sale - as I've made it this far without using either with my playthroughs. :/
