I decided to update the mod since it seems to be abandoned.

I fixed the bug that prevented areas with uppercase in their name from working while I was at it. Thanks @PaulaRos for the heads up.

Everything *should* work fine. I'm not proficient in coding, I merely tinkered with the existing code to make it work. Please test and report any bugs, I'll fix them... if I can.

@Icepickgma : i tried reaching out to you but you didn't accept my friend request. Feel free to add me if you want to take back the mod or something :).

@NRFBToyStore This mod is critical for me since all the mothers in my colony decide to feed their babies instead of sleeping, which makes them extremely grumpy all day, plus they loose out on the Lovin' mood buff from maximizing time spent in bed with their lover.

If they are forbidden to leave their bedrooms during bedtime, and the cribs are outside the bedrooms, then they are much more emotionally stable.

forbidding the doors every night and unforbidding every morning is getting to be a hassle.

@Zorg Anything involving UI needs a quick token update for 1.5 from what I've seen. Anxious for this to come back, helps alot with converting.

So, is this completely incompatible with 1.5?
Nothing in the 1.5 changenotes should affect anything this mod does in theory, so I'm curious why it wouldn't work?

would you be able to make a completely different tab for it? if i rename schedule1 to "work zone" and set their scheledue to that zone, wouldnt they still be able to do recreation?

thered be two sets of schedules, work/recreation/meditiaion/anything and then a zone schedule

@Wintermist for sure it's because you're on 1.5, you can't expect 1.4 mod to work with the new update (some mods do, some don't). That's why I'm crossing my fingers that the author finds the time to update eventually.

Sorry if I'm spammy lol, but this mod is between me and fulfilling my Rimworld plan of making a military base with scheduled combat training etc. It might just be it's the 1.5 version that stops me from enabling that Red button to Green, but weirdly it did somehow make it green at one point, but I have no idea how.

The explanation of Drag Select to enable it tells me nothing about what I need to do :/

Here's how I would like it to work lol:
Let's say you have a recreation task you want done at 10 in the morning, in my case it's a melee training dummy counting as recreation tool which trains their melee skill.

You name a schedule "Melee" and then you name a zone "Recreation;Melee" and everyone who is then scheduled "Melee" will just walk to that zone and try and use what available Recreation tool is there.

The naming of the zone would then specify which type of work you want them to do there, as well as which schedule is allowed. If both the schedule of "Melee" and the activity of Recreation match, a pawn will go there and do the activity.

If only recreation matches, then they go wherever they want for recreation. This gives you a lot of flexibility I think, I set my zone where all training dummies are, and just schedule my soldiers for "Melee" in the morning.

I just can't get this to work, maybe it's just 1.5 or I'm doing something wrong. Is there a video guide somewhere that shows this in a working manner so I can figure it out?

Very good features, unfortunately I won't use it. I can only recognize two corresponding names in the software translation, and it will start to match the active area, but how to make him sleep or work in that active area, I don't know how to use it. I don't even understand Chinese screens, I should use "Work; a1 "or" work; a1 or "工作; a1", and which input box it should be placed on. I don't see these two images in the description bar, I can put a copy of the description bar below, and that's where I can see it. If you can, a few more pictures are helpful in the case that I can't read the software translation

This looks similar to what I want, but I'm not sure; I want to restrict colonists who hate light to an inside zone during the day. Can I do that with this?

The way I see it: Cook's on Work, while work is assigned to Schedule B; exclusive from Who was assigned the First Area as, Susan.

I straight-up cannot get pawns to obey these restrictions. I'm trying to restrict my pawns to the barracks during scheduled sleep hours, so I made a zone named "Sleep". They kept walking out. So I renamed it "sleep", per PaulaRos's comment below. They still keep walking out. The little box next to each pawn's schedule is green.

Ok this is awkward... I found out the issue. So, if you capitalized the words when you are naming an area it doesn't work. So instead of Sleep, I tried sleep... And now everything work. Just leaving it here to embarrass myself and maybe help someone else.

I do have one problem, I can't make the vanilla schedules work, no matter how much I try. It could be me. I have to admit it, it took me more than it should to figure out how to use this. But if someone else had the same problem and fixed, I can use the help...

oh, you can also set it up by using "Schedule A" or other added schedule for a task-not-specified schedule, if "work all day" is an undesirable side effect. Make sure the button at the right end of the colonist's Schedule is green, not red.

Quick bit of feedback: syntax information should be clearly visible somewhere in the game so I can check it without alt-tabbing back to here, would suggest the mod options

the sanguophage scheduling problem is solved by having their day schedule set to a type that their day zone is also named; for example, work;sanguophagename will make a sanguophage use that area any time they're scheduled for work, and then you schedule work during the day and anything at night. The inverse will also work - anything;sanguophagename in all day-lit areas, and the sanguophage set to anything schedule at night.

Not sure if I'm doing anything wrong but I can't get the auto-assign of zones to work with the "native" scheduling (work, sleep etc from the vanilla game). It works perfectly if I use the custom schedules but what I'm trying to do is have my pawns stay indoors during the day time (during the day because of the heat). I primarily want them to sleep during this time.

I make a zone called "Sleep" that covers the area I want them to be in and from my understanding that should assign the pawns to that area. It just doesn't seem to work with the native schedules. If I make a custom schedule called Sleep it works perfectly, but then it doesn't seem like the attributes from the scheduling works (for example vanilla Sleep means the pawn sleeps if rest <75%).

Having problem with using this mod.

I get only Harmony, Core, 3 DLCs and Custom Schedules active. I rename the custom schedule "Schedule A" as "Home". Then a "Work" area is created , and both "Home" area and "Work" area are set. Set 6 to Home and 7 to Work, remember to turn the red mark to green, and it seems all set, right?

But it's weird that it works fine for the custom schedule "Home" but doing nothing with "Work".

Any idea?

@OneSubstance Sure, shouldn't be a problem. Use a custom Schedule and assign it to the same time slot, then make the area using the name of the schedule, along with the pawns names you want to clean, or their job title. Example name for schedule "Cleaning;Dave" or like "Cleaning;Cleaners", Change schedule names in options.

I'm also using worktab mod. I have cleaning set to priority 1 during 1900 - 2000. Will this allow me to change the pawns designated areas during that hour so that they only clean in the zone and dont wipe up the fields of filth?

it's still working but i am wondering is there any reason when i set a pawn to a location after some time there they drop their equipped weapon on the floor? is this normal behavior?

I can't figure out how this works. I renamed a schedule to "Recreation" and set an area for Recreation to the rec room. The pawns move there, but don't actually do any recreation activities?
